Apparently he didn’t make it onto his school’s rifle team for being a poor shot. If his t-shirt is any indication he likes watching things be shot and blown up. He had bomb making materials in his car. I wonder if this was a troubled and anti-social person who saw an opportunity and took it. Prove all the haters wrong about his shooting capabilities. Pure speculation but it may not have any political motivation.

I still don’t buy that story. Sounds made up.

I'm really disturbed that multiple people here wanted to see him get assassinated. It's one thing to hate him, but another entirely to want to see him get shot in the head in front of the entire count

She was born premature and spent a month in the NICU. She was only 4lbs when she was born! She has OT and PT for low tone. She is doing incredibly and I’m truly amazed by her every. single. day. Tiny

I'm not exactly sure why he would want Biden shot. He's literally going to lose the election.

He still has that fear he might win.

My buddy's girlfriend dumped him because he said he would vote for the corpse of Biden over Trump after the shooting so that relationship went to sheet after 7 yrs over Trump. It's disgusting on so many levels.

Funny enough, your buddy dodged a bullet that day too.

This is why I do my best to avoid talking about politics with friends and family. There's virtually nothing to be gained, and a lot more to be lost.

so...is it fair to say that trump has a shot in PA?

Utter failure by Trump's secret service detail.

At some point Trump's campaign may have to take ownership of some of this. They keep insisting on having rallies out in the middle of nowhere and that puts the SS in an almost lose/lose situation.

Yes, I think PA goes Red.  Unfortunately.  Still time though

Yeah, instead of having your events indoors (e.g. arenas) where security can be more tightly controlled and you don't need to worry about lines of sight, he's doing these out in the sweltering heat, risking the health of the older people in his audience.

Susan, this is very wrong. We did not divert resources from FPOTUS Trump & protection models don't work that way. As far as "field office teams" these are the candidate nominee operations teams that are added during election years for the heavy travel tempo.

Except, it, like, doesn't really exist as an organization.

Same reason people wanted Obama or Trump shot.

Adding on, the local kids that bullied him daily and were on the rifle team could be huge Trumpsters. Then Trump just happens to come to town and he schemes up a plan to show them all by using his self perceived skills to kill his bullies’ hero.

It’s not a bad point - it wouldn’t be outrageous to assume that a lot of the rifle club kids are big Trumpers and if he felt rejected by them… it’s a lot of speculation though. Regardless.. there were obvious problems there. I don’t want to blame family but it does make me wonder what his home life was and what support he had.

Wrong. And a dangerous assertion to make.

I still haven't met anyone that is switching their votes. I hear more people not voting at all than switching. I guess that helps trump though if people just aren't going to vote at all.

Yep. Low turnout benefits the GOP.

Has Trump or Biden acknowledged the person who actually died at the rally? Feel for that family.

Trump mentioned him in his interview

Trump had a prior golf engagement, or he surely would have.

They both have. Trump made a reference to them in his social media post and Biden has mentioned him a couple times, referring to the fact he was trying to protect his family and was a firefighter I think.

A person who knew him at school, said he was a loner who wore a mask and military gear and ate lunch by himself.

"For an elevated shooting platform within 130 or 150 yards of the podium to not be posted or guarded by a policeman or Secret Service person, or at least, access to that platform be restricted, [is a] clear, fundamental failure of the most simple, rudimentary aspects of a security advance," Maloy said. "The security advance is where it all happens. That’s where you do your planning. You lay down your requirements for what is needed to secure the venue."

Intent or incompetence.......

Wild. But I imagine all these rallies are pretty hard to secure completely.

Doesn't take someone in the military or law enforcement to know that building was a vulnerability. Lol simply playing call of duty and battlefield would have had you checked that rooftop
