Wishing BDN a good retirement.

I don't think it is possible to not love that guy.  He was always so humble and selfless.  Leading us to that Super Bowl win is just icing on the cake and forever cements himself as one of my all time favorite Eagles.

I have no idea why they would even attempt to use him as a punt returner after he failed there miserably with us. He is not a PR. He's not a slot receiver. He's not a run after catch specialist. He can be a good WR on the outside and that is the only place his skill set should be used.

I actually agree. He started off well as a rookie. He hit a slump, needed a change of scenery. He's not a returner.

Sources: The #Jets were informed before acquiring Haason Reddick that his contract needed to be addressed. They made an offer prior to the trade with Philly, which Reddick turned down.

The team still went ahead with the trade without a deal in place. Reddick attended his press conference with the understanding that contract talks would continue, but I’m told no official proposal has been made since he joined the team in late March.

That’s where things stand, and it’s why Reddick has not been with the team at minicamp or training camp — and why today’s trade request was made.

I think Reddick is in danger of Le'Veon Belling himself with the holdout. If he's still holding out when the games start, he may not ever make up the money he forfeits.

I was sorry to see him go from the standpoint of losing his productivity, but I kind of figured that he was going to be a holdout on us if Howie didn't give him what he wanted. So better them than us.

He was a headache we didn’t need. It’s a shame because he is a good player.

Pretty bad timing for him to make all these contract demands. He's hitting 30 and coming off a disastrous close to the prior season. Plus, he's playing out a three season deal. It's not like we locked him in at way below market value for like a 5 or 6 year deal. Seems like he should probably just show up, make his 15 million, and if he notches another 10 sack season, he'll find a good deal somewhere.

He´s getting nearly a million dollars a game and he´s holding out? Good grief

In terms of average salary per season for edge rushers, he is sitting at around number 20 now. His sack numbers have been excellent since 2020, he has hit double digits every year and ranks 4th, 11th, 2nd and 15th in those seasons. The reason he isn't in Philly is because they weren't going to work out a new contract, he would want something similar to what Hunter got from the Texans ($24,500,000 on average per season) which is a significant jump from what he is owed. Even if he doesn't get Hunter money, he should probably be in the ball park of what Chubb is making at $22,000,000 and more than Miller and his $19,000,000 this year.

Former Eagles QB Coach John DeFillippo resigns as HC of the USFL's Memphis Showboats.

In retrospect, he made a bad move leaving the Eagles for the Vikings.  As it turned out, Frank Reich left to take the position in Indy after Josh McDaniels backed out.  Flip would have become the OC of the Eagles and would have had the benefit of continuity with an elite organization.  He thought he'd become a head coach in the NFL, and he might have if he just was a little more patient.

Glad to see Ward caught on somewhere.  All he did was produce on the field.  Could wind up being a nice, under the radar, value signing for Indy.

Miles Sanders to Dallas?

Potential Trade Suitor Emerges For Miles Sanders

"Fortunately for the Panthers, there may be a team willing to trade for Sanders. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the former Penn State standout is on the "shortlist" of the Dallas Cowboys.

This makes plenty of sense. The Cowboys lost Tony Pollard in free agency and replaced him with Ezekiel Elliott. They boast a running back rotation of Zeke, Rico Dowdle, and Royce Freeman. Considering the serious decline Elliott has shown last season, that is not an elite group for a team trying to contend for the Super Bowl."

If he still has anything in the tank, I wouldn't mind seeing Boston Scott back. At least when we play the Giants, anyway... lol

Steelers let Quez go

Also the Commies let Julian Good-Jones go
