I hope Cowboys sign him and make him a starting corner. That would be a Christmas present came early.

RIP Charle Young. Most posting here are too young to remember him, but he was a beast. Drafted in the first round in 1973, Young was an All-Pro as a rookie. When he held out four years later, the Dick Vermeil led Eagles traded him to the Rams for the rights to another holdout, Ron Jaworski.

Fair play to him, Douglas has quietly had a near 10 year career as a starting NFL corner, even after we waived him in favour of the stellar talents of Avonte Maddox, Cre'von LeBlanc and Nickell Robey Coleman.

So I guess my Mike Mamula rookie card won’t cover my grandson’s college tuition ? 😁

Yeah I always felt that Douglas was better than the playing time he got while he was here, but that was just my fan's eye watching games. There had to be something beyond just talent alone as to why he didn't work out long term in Philly.

Avonte had his ups and down but what a way to go out.

We could have used Douglas when Dak was picking apart a secondary of practice squad guys in the late 2010s.

He was a bad fit in the defense and got toasted deep time and time again. It was the right move to cut him when they did. Also Avonte had a few years run early on in his career where he was a borderline elite slot corner before injuries started to pile up.

Douglas has been on 9 teams in 10 years, I'd say he was just a serviceable player nothing more nothing less. I don't think we missed out on some big timeplayer by not keeping him or adjusting our scheme to fit his skill set.

Yep. He's a slightly better Adore Jackson. Makes some big plays but also gets burnt at times.

@time2rock oh, I haven't seen them like that. Maybe make sure your browser is updated, see if it looks different on mobile vs desktop, different browsers? Or clear cache?

but sometimes embedded stuff is wonky on here.

I often times get that on my phone as I’m scrolling, and once on screen, it then fully opens as the normal tweet. Once in a blue moon it stays as the former look and I usually assume the original tweet was deleted or something.

IS he auditioning for the TEMU Village People?

They built a new stadium so I guess that was the theme but he looks like the tool that he is.

AFAIK he is the only human in existence to trade away a QB that later won a SB with that team.
