That one hurt. Flyers played a great game and had a chance at the end to tie it and go into OT in the final seconds but Coots hit the post on a wide open net. Should be stripped the C for that lackluster attempt. Big game huge 2 points here and he blows it. Primeau would never

Unfortunately, Drysdale isn't coming back. They're gonna play this week-to-week BS until their season is over. Same thing with Ristolainen.

Who, Ristolainen? Under Torts he has performed much better defensively. Is he way overpaid? Yep. Maybe they can move him during the off-season. I have a hunch the only way a team will take him though is if the Flyers eat half his contract. He still has 3/15 left on his contract after this year. Another Fletcher screw up the front office has to deal with.

They aren't making the playoffs. This stretch of games here is brutal and will ultimately sink them. Yet we hear nothing from the organization in regards to Risto and Drysdale. Rinse and repeat every year

I didn’t know it’s been 3 years since we beat Boston

I’ve been out of touch on some of the Flyers players from yesteryear and just heard that Glen Cochrane passed away in January from cancer.  Cochrane really embodied some of those tough Flyers teams in the early 80s.  After his playing career ended he was an assistant coach in the WHL for a few years, then transitioned to scouting.

You didn’t see too many guys who enjoyed the tough guy role as much as Cochrane did.  He will be missed.

 

The Flyers are having a good season, but if you look at the standings, they are holding a divisional playoff spot only by the grace of being in the worst division for depth.  Their 81 points would put them in 5th place in any other division.

 

At the moment, they would play the Hurricanes in the first round, which is likely a loss.

As usual the Flyers are being held back by goaltending.
