As much as I hate the Rangers, it was the Bruins getting knocked out that put a smile on my face. But then again I live in New England so I’m surrounded by cocky Boston fans daily.

Watching Bob do what he’s done and doing is a kick in the nuts. Especially when it was done for bryz. I disliked giving up on Bob when we did.

Absolute gem tonight. He was lights out. One of, if not the, worst trades/getting rid of a player in Philly sports history. Maybe Buddy cutting Cris Carter but he did that because he had drug issues and wanted him to get his life together so he at least had that excuse.

A reminder that Tortorella has won 4 playoff rounds since the 2004-2005 lockout. He's lost in the 1st round or missed the playoffs 14/17 times. He's won 1 round in the last decade. 
 

He has absolutely no business coaching this team. He’s a complete dinosaur at this point.

Getting Michkov over is really good news; now they need to find someone to pair with him.  McDavid has Draisaitl, Kane had Toews, Crosby had Malkin, Mario had Jagr, etc.

In other words, I guess they need to find a way to acquire another top 5 draft pick since the NHL would never rig the draft lottery for the Flyers like they have for the Pens and Oilers.

Bringing in an experienced Russian player to help him acclimate to the league is probably necessary as well.

I've just seen this pattern of fail before. It's many decades of not getting it done by the Flyers ( and 76ers), or I'm turning into a grumpy old man...or maybe it's a bit of both. TBH, it is probably a bit of both. I just don't see the Flyers (and Sixers) with any clear path to a championship at all. Here's one major concern I have for each team, and there are many others, but I'll give one each. 

The Flyers best goalie has a save% of .907 which places him at 29th best in the NHL. Their next best ranks 55th. While it takes building a complete team, and coaching matters too, they're still not winning anything ever with those type of performances in goal.

Then there's the 76ers who seem to have forgotten that the object of the game is putting the ball in the basket more than your opponents do. Their FG% is far too low across the board. While there are a few players to keep and build with, overall they need guys who can shoot a lot better than most of who they have had. It's especially true since their best player is as fragile as an incandescent lightbulb. 

At least the Phillies and Eagles have very good teams who should be capable of winning it all.
