As much as I (and others) have ragged on Voracek coming up small in the playoffs, he's had a really good series. Now if Giroux could get his crap together.

I don’t hate giroux. But one of the major reasons I wanted to trade him two years ago was because you could see his value was never gonna be any higher.  he was going to age and only get worse with time. Plus we weren’t going anywhere with him at that point. And by the time the young guys were ready he would start to be a high priced player on the decline. you could’ve got a ton of prospects and picks from a team believing he was the missing piece.  Those picks and young players that would’ve been accumulated and integrated with our young core would’ve likely been more helpful in two years when he’s really aged and high priced.

G is the McNabb of the Flyers. Long, slightly above average career with longevity stats and shows up small when it matters.  Very good.  Not great player.
