You could tell an empty netter was coming with how poorly they controlled the puck at the end there.

It must be great to be Giroux’s wife. Right when he has a perfect opportunity to put it up Main Street he lets some other guy take it.

I'm just done with Giroux at this point. The fact that he's still wearing the C is a joke.

Lost the battle but won the war.

Honestly they deserved to lose tonight. Undisciplined with a bunch of stupid penalties. without the power play they weren’t the better team 5 on 5. 

The Flyers should be proud. That's twice in 5 games they've managed to make the Canadiens look like the 87 Oilers. 

We are still up. Friday should be the dagger

 

 

If they don't win Friday they aren't winning the series. They started this game with zero sense of urgency and it lead to a shorthanded goal against 3 Fing minutes in. That happens again and they're done

I would argue out of the top 4 seeds in each conference besides Washington, the flyers have looked the worst out of the 8 teams. Like the blues are tied at 2 but easily could be 3-1 cause they lost in overtime but he last two games they’ve returned to form.

I don’t think it will. Washington and the islanders play tomorrow. If the islanders win its the only game left in the eastern conference. Guessing it’s a 8pm start time

This is the crap that happens in the NHL.  The 24th team in points shouldn't be here.  But they are hot.  They blew the doors off a Penguins team that is extremely dangerous in the playoffs.  So they are a very tough out right now with a hot goalie.

Hockey needs fewer teams in the playoffs.  May not make financial sense, but it prevents the devaluing of the regular season.  There is so little correlation between regular season success and playoff success.  

Brayden schenn looking good for the blues. I wish we had him right now instead of JVR.

Eh the flyers shouldn’t even be in the position they are right now if they play better then what they’ve shown. The first 9 minutes we slept walked through. Canadiens allowed us back in the game giving us a 5 minute Major and 7 power plays and even a cheap goal by price. 
 

besides voracek what high priced players have shown up? 

giroux? No goals. 4 assists 
hayes? Not much. 1 point  
TK? Next to nothing  1 point this whole time and no goals 

jvr? Benched the last two games

Coots? 3 points all assists.  

add on defense too many turnovers and hart in this series 2 games this series has had a clunker. That worries me cause i don’t think price has really stolen a game for the habs yet. And he hasn’t been awful in a game yet either. Tonight was his worst. Don’t want to get to a game seven with the pressure of the world on us and having to Hope price doesn’t pull off a one game stand on his head. I think it is imperative they win game 6. 

I am pissed they didn't close it out last night but I honestly believe tomorrow night they show up and close out........

I loved Schenn, but I feel good about the potential of Frost and Farabee.  I’d still make that trade.

Agreed  - especially with Carey Price in goal.

the flyers only looked good in spurts last night. have to hope this was just a game 5 won by a desperate team.

Scenn’s biggest issue was his 5-on-5 effectiveness.  He was only good only the PP...which is EXACTLY what this team needs right now.

my older son and i watched the game, the neighbors could hear us screaming at the tv to shoot. 

 

also, price seemed to have a bigger issue with the power play being pushed from the opposite side (voracek's two goals), possibly because he actually shot the puck !!
