Official Philadelphia Flyers Thread - What are we expecting in 24/25?

Featured Replies

Damn.  Why did they start this one at 7pm?  Missed the 1st period, but home now watching.  Caught the studio between period show and the goals we scored off of Habs sticks.  Hey, good things happen when you put the puck on/towards net.

Looking at the stats and we've been out-shot (10-6) and out-hit (13-4, that's really disappointing) and are also losing too many faceoffs having only won 33%.  And on top of that we're already 0-3 on the PP with the Habs only having 1 PP so you know the refs will even that up a little bit.  We're up a goal, but seems we need to play better the next 40 minutes if we want to play the Islanders.  So unless these stats are really misleading then the Flyers better start playing with some jam.

Frankly i thought the Flyers came out strong. But really after the second goal the habs were the more aggressive team. Our other two power plays were bad. It’s like we purposefully lose 10-15 seconds just trying to set up how to get it out of our defensive zone on the PP

Damn Konecny gotta bury that one he had price beat

Way to go giroux. Stupid a** penalty.

Nice hit by Ghost on Suzuki.  Damn, TK had a chance to make a 2 goal lead.  And now G with the slash and Habs on the PP.

Thank you lord!!!! Sanheim!!!

Sanheim!!!

Nice breakout for the goal, 3-1.

Thanks Carey for kicking that in!

Literally every time we go up two we give it right back. F*** Suzuki. Only person killing the Flyers right now.

I mean nothing hart could do there

Damn!  TO deep in the zone, breakdown on D positioning and an open side shot on goal.

Basically how the habs have been scoring most of the series. We continuously have bad turnovers in our own defensive zone hat leads to good opportunities for the habs.

Yup.  We've been hurting ourselves more than they have been.  If we could be more in control in our own end and cut out the TOs this series would be over already.

It’s why i don’t think they win if they make it to the next round. Islanders are a better team than Montreal and they are much more sound defensively. Say whatever analytics you want the eye test says they might be playing the worst hockey of all the eastern conference teams left.

Habs are totally outworking us along the boards, especially in our own end.  Where's our scrappy gritty play?

Gritty wasn’t let inside the bubble... something about him refusing to follow the rules.

Flyers might want to get more than 7 shots through 32 minutes.

TK has to get that puck on net there.  He has 2 teammates going towards the net looking for either a rebound or deflection.  The wide shot goes around the other side and the Habs start a rush.  We're losing too many battles in the attacking and defensive ends.

Flyers trying to way at too cute on the power play. Just get someone in front and fire the thing

G on the PP frustrates me.

There’s too many passers on the first unit and too many shooters in the second. They’ll never move him off the top unit, but G would probably be more useful on the second unit.

Pp in general besides game 5 frustrates me.

I hate that helmet rule. so if a guy hits you and purposefully knocks off your helmet During the process you have to leave the ice. That’s Bs

In the concussion era, I don’t think they have a choice. It sucks but that’s a player safety risk the nhl can’t afford to take. And they can’t make it a stoppage of play otherwise players would make them lose to "accidentally” lose It to stop play.
