He deliberately lied to the entire country yesterday after his giant Fup. The only honorable thing for him to do is to resign.

I'll let you all hammer the rest out.

@Diehardfan if my father-in-law can denounce Trump for Ukraine and not releasing the healing med beds based on Area 51 alien tech then you can do it for this.

I said it's not going to hurt him and I agree with that today. None of his people may go but I gave my opinion on what I think should happento Waltz. Dems think they have him but they don't. Two different things.

You said "the answer is somewhere in the middle" and the Dems were "spinning it". None of which is true. It happened exactly how Goldberg reported it, you just didn't want to believe it. Whenever I read your posts, I always think of the Carl Sagan quote....

I'm not in charge. If I were I'd let him finish his trip and quietly find a way for him to resign for family reasons.

You mean to go to rehab, right?

We disagree on that. I do think the Dems are spinning parts, especially after reading this below. As I said yesterday it's not nothing and it's not taking down the admin. I think Waltz needs to go. The rest you all can fight over.

Maybe it's time you just read the articles in full for yourself instead of getting info from "Media Lies"

Quote

A CIA spokesperson asked us to withhold the name of John Ratcliffe’s chief of staff, which Ratcliffe had shared in the Signal chain, because CIA intelligence officers are traditionally not publicly identified. Ratcliffe had testified earlier yesterday that the officer is not undercover and said it was "completely appropriate” to share their name in the Signal conversation. We will continue to withhold the name of the officer. Otherwise, the messages are unredacted.

So Ratcliffe begged the Atlantic not to release the name. Then when they saved his ass he stabbed the Atlantic in the back.

Am I reading that right?

Not true. The reporter said he released the name of a CIA officer which is true.

Oh...shockingly, Waltz lying and it's easily disproven. How is this guy still employed?

If I have it wrong I have it wrong. I'm pretty sure someone was saying they were upset they doxed someone undercover

Any Trumpers willing to admit that maybe we should have gone through the traditional security and background checks for Trump's cabinet rather than just short circuiting the intelligence apparatus?

Nah…..

Tulsi now calling it "the DoD chat".  She is really scared by this one and she should be given she committed perjury yesterday.

The author never asserted the officer was "undercover" but he did suggest using the name would be confidential.  Ratcliffe claims the name isn't confidential since the officer is not currently undercover.  So they are arguing semantics but really Ratcliffe is trying to defend himself.

I have to wonder if at some point senior military leaders start going direct to Trump saying Hegseth needs to be fired for this. We don't have a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (Trump has nominated Caine), but the other 5 must be outraged by this.

There’s a decent chance that Cheeto’s replacement nominee would be even worse than hegseth

I'm late on watching the hearing but holy crap

No doubt the heat is ramping on Hegseth internally.  Gabbard is doing everything she an to throw him under the bus in the intelligence committee hearings and I'd be surprised if the more senior Repubs aren't ramping up the dialog behind closed doors.
