Instead we should be talking about a mildly attractive redhead that nobody has ever heard of or cares about.I don't think you mean that.

May 11May 11 The VA is a bureaucratic, inefficient, black hole of an administration.Ask actual veterans, and if you can find any that actually qualify for VA care, they'll probably tell you how terrible it is.

I won’t argue that the VA is an efficiently ran machine, but I have had nothing but excellent treatment since I chose to use them about 15 years ago. Maybe I’ve been lucky in that the two VA hospitals, and half a dozen clinics I have used in that, time just happen to be the best the VA has to offer, maybe it is because VA care is a political tool for the duopoly to blame the other side for. Fact is, very little changes between admins. Like the rest of the government, the cuts need to be made by a surgeon with a scalpel, not a lumberjack with a chainsaw.

Has been taken care of by the VA his entire life with awesome care. One day he fell in the shower one day and my grandparents decided they couldn't take care of him anymore. The very next day he was in a VA Care Facility. He has been there for the last 20 or so years with around the clock medical care with medical personnel that care about his wellbeing. So yeah, you surely know what you are talking about. Not to mention my Dad and I both get VA disability care and have zero complaints. Is nothing more rich than non vets talk about crap they have never experienced.

My dad is a nurse for the VA, he cares very much and provides the best care he can to patients. But I will say they are at times handcuffed and probably under funded at that level. His hospital nearly closed several times. And I know other states and pockets of the country are experiencing the same thing so I think it really depends on where you are. Is there waste in the dept? Absolutely. They hired 80,000 people during Covid and no longer need most of them. So from an efficiency standpoint, we probably bleed too much money within the dept. But some Of the cuts made and proposed by DOGE were not the right cuts to be made.
