The amount of land required to operate a windmill is usually only a few acres. The acreage that gets touted by right-wing media often includes the area around the windmill that should be flat to optimize wind capture.

Numbers are usually expressed in term of kilowatt / area. In the US we get close to 20MW/km², with some wind farms exceeding this number. This means one square kilometer - 0.38 mi² in freedom units - can power 16,000 - 30,000 homes.

The arguments against wind power are entirely vibe based, and have no basis in hard facts. The red/conservate mid-west is the biggest beneficiary of wind power, which makes this even more bizarre:

This is purely a case of people not liking "change", and thinking the "good old days" were better than they were.

It's always the dumbest reason and this makes sense

Everyone of them will be in a land fill.

At the end of the day they'll out last the human race and the earth will still be creating crude oil.

If prices of European vehicles goes up, it means the price ceiling of other vehicles in the same market have room to grow.

It's genuinely concerning how many people don't seem to understand this Econ 101 concept

Not sure how familiar you are with Maher but he frequently bashes the left more than he bashes the right. He "goes off” on the left every show or podcast. I dont agree with him on everything but I appreciate him sticking to his guns (btw he’s also a proponent of the 2nd amendment). You should give real time a try sometime you might learn something new

I don't agree with everything he says but I do watch occasionally and can appreciate someone like him who is more 90s Democrat.

We tried to explain it to the tards immediately after the election using imported butter as an example, but being that they're all clinically retarded, it went right over their heads and they immediately resumed cheering for higher prices.

I have no idea how old you are, but in the 90's the democrats caught the same stupid crap for being "woke". They called it PC back then. Bigoted right wingers were mad they had to say African American instead of colored, and Asian American instead of oriental or ****. The more things change the more they stay the same.

why do you assume Trump is why Cambodia backed down? China is a bigger trade partner and also pressured them to chill out. Cambodia and Thailand have a history of these sorts of skirmishes over territorial disputes, but it has always cooled.

you rush to give credit where at most Trump's impact is arguable.

You all refusing to give credit is boring me a bit so I'll just throw this in for fun
