Tariffs may well benefit some US farmers (though it's certainly hurt more than helped in 2025 so far), but even if they do they're going to result in higher prices for the same product.

If we were sourcing from Mexico it's because it was cheaper. If we start sourcing from the US, it's going to mean prices go up.

Despite all this, we're projected to have a agriculture trade deficit of $49.5B in 2025 - eclipsing the $37B agriculture trade deficit in 2024.

Honestly until Trump came in and started playing games with tariffs, we had a healthy trade "surplus" in the agriculture sector:

First agriculture trade deficit in this millennium happened in Trump's first term. Covid exacerbated this, but China has reduced its soybean buys every time Trump entered the White House.

That isn't good either. I don't agree with using that plane because there is no way they can go over every square inch. What the hell is wrong with Boeing that Obama initiated the purchase and it's still not built.

But that doesn't mean he is wrong about the cost of the building. That is utter BS

I'd ask what the F is wrong with you but based on your response I'm going to go with "a lot".

JFC you’re a moron. Again, oil is NOT a massive source of electricity production in the US. In fact it is one of the smallest sources. You clearly have zero clue. I am laughing at you at this very moment.

You’re another *****. Enjoy your massive increase in your energy bill.

Is electricity expensive these days?

You have to forgive me, I wouldn’t know. I produce more than enough clean, renewable electricity at home thanks to my solar array. I’m just a little more progressive and ahead of the curve than most.

Same here. 20kw system

I forget what mine is but it’s a bit less I think. 30 panels. So probably 12-15?

Edit: produced 14 MWh the last two years. And I’m estimating charging at work is going to save me 3 MWh annually groovy

So would I. I've been waiting for their release for years now.

What are you talking about? I don't see a sig.

What, you turned them off so you didn't have to be reminded? 😂

Turn them back on and take a look at what you agreed as the definition of success for the tariff policies.

Diehardfan measures the success of Trump's tariff strategy based on the significant return of widespread manufacturing to the US by April 2026, i.e. 100s of new huge factories with 100s of thousands of American factory workers in place.

allow me to move this along. ph34r

oh yeah? well, OBAMA !!!

Yep. The billions are nice too. Factories take longer to built, though.
