Good thing im a Pepsi guy so i can continue to enjoy my high fructose corn syrup! Suck it losers!

Ps.Mexican coke can be bought in the US

Fructose is fructose, dumb ass. Spare me the mommy blog source citations that claim hfcs is the devil and cane sugar is so much better, there is zero actual evidence that proves cane sugar derived fructose has tangible health benefits over corn syrup derived fructose.

It's like when they say seed oils are making everyone fat, but then you look at the biggest consumers of seed oils and it's Asian countries, historically known for their short life expectancy.

Seed oils are worse for you, but Asians don’t use it the way we do. They stir fry mostly fresh ingredients, while Americans deep fry already highly processed food in it.

The trumpbots saw the crunchy hippie mommy bloggers of the past couple decades and said, "hold my beer."

The research shows that seed oils aren't worse for you. Statistically speaking, all cause mortality decreases the more seed oil use is increased versus animal fats.

MAHA screams that linoleic acid is inflammatory, but the most recent research shows that it is in fact not inflammatory.

What I have read over the years is that seed oils have a higher amount of poly unsaturated fatty acids, and the balance between omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids is worse than in oils like coconut and olive. PUFAs are a major source of inflammation. Oils like coconut and olive are much healthier than seed oils, and have some beneficial qualities.

I definitely need to cut back on saturated fats, I eat way too much red meat. My weight and cholesterol numbers are fine, but I know that once arterial walls harden and calcify, you're locked into a dangerous game of waiting for a calcification to rupture or just continue to calcify into a full obstruction.

Yeah I've always understood the heirarchy to be mono unsaturated fats > poly unsaturated fats > saturated fats. And if you aren't able to see nutrition facts, a good rule thumb is that if solidifies at room temp, it's something you want to avoid (butter, rendered fats from meat, shortening, etc). And that includes even plant based ones like coconut oil. Had a worker that swore by coconut oil and used it in everything because it was plant based and "all natural." I didn't want to get into an argument of how stupid and dangerous that kinda logic was.

Counter point: duck fat is the most delicious cooking fat

Almost no chance you could distinguish between the two in a blind taste test.

I have never in my life had a coke in europe or south america and gone, "whoaaa, wtf is that?" And I remember the first time I went to mexico and the friend I was visiting gave me the spiel of "you gotta try the coke". Tasted like coke to me man, the mexican sodas that are way more interesting are the jaritas and like, fruit sodas way better than fantas. Maybe it's a difference that if you're looking for it or are a connoisseur of soft drinks it matters to you. But if you are an infrequent drinker of coke like me, or Diehard claims to be, and just drink one randomly it's highly unlikely you'll pick up on it.

I drink coke zero when I drink coke anyways, which is almost always in my rum.

Most recent research papers are indicating that the risks to seed oils are grossly overstated and might not even exist. I was reading one from 24 that showed that higher PUFA intake actually reduced coronary disease.

i dont drink a lot of soda either, but when i do, it is usually a mexican coke or a can of american coke. for some reason, an ice cold american can is so much better than any bottled in the us.

regardless, this is a HUUUUUUUGE win for america and should overshadow any discussions about the phony epstein files that clinton wrote his own name in 20plus times.

Nattokinase is a good supplement for this

If have higher Iron levels from the red meat you can take IP6, helps absorp iron

Iron levels are fine too, but one of the liver markers were a bit high in my blood work last year. Can't remember which one off hand but I bet it was from all the hfcs in the cokes that I don't drink! lol

The good news is that there are no saturated fats in beer! Pretty much the only vice I have left. I mostly eat chicken, turkey, and fish. My best friend's brother in law dropped dead of a heart attack last summer at 50. He was a big red meat eater. Really freaked me the F out. I only have it every once in a while now. I went total pescatarian for a while but found that I was eating too much cheese.

Speaking of being healthy... Our wise, all knowing, not at all corrupt, and only has our best interests at heart federal government is going to start tracking all of our health data.

Leaner red meats (skirt, hanger, filet) are fine and have great health benefits. Ribeye, wagyu, etc. are where you get in trouble.
