I wrote his speech for this PC.

"I am alive and well. Never been more alive. I am the most alive I have ever been. More alive than Sleepy Joe. Hes not even sure if he is alive most of the time. But I am alive, and I am alive better than him. I am alive better than a lot of people. A lot of people were worried. Very worried. I said, there's nothing to worry about... I'm alive! I'm very alive! I was just playing some golf!

But I am alive. There is no need to worry. I plan on being alive for a very long time.

Its great to be alive. Especially in this great country we have. And I'm working very hard to make it better than ever. Because it wasn't very good to be alive when that other guy was President. And they didn't want to make it any better they wanted to make it worse! They were making it worse. But I am working to make it so good you wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world. Because we have a great country. We really do. Its a great country.

And some people want to ruin it, but I'm not gonna let them.

So I am alive and its great to be alive, and we are all going to enjoy being alive together, in the best country on the world!

Thank you for your attention to this matter."

I'm all for it BUT it has to be done correctly and not thru a Trump tweet. Congress can put thru legislation that includes verbiage to ensure we don't end up back with poll taxes and the like. The spirit of the 1965 Voting Rights Act must be upheld. As such, IDs must be very cheap and easy for everyone to get. Nov '26 is far enough away for all states to make it happen but Congress needs to act now.

The federal government doesn't run elections. States do. States control enforcement of requirements not the Fed.

Where are all my states rights homies? Situationally absent.

The voter ID ish is like when liberals wanted cops to have body cams because of all the police brutality and then the cams showed the opposite.

If it’s not voter ID, it’ll be something else with these morons.

It gives these morons the built in cope that tRuMp only lost because Democrats cheated

He hereby declares something he'll completely forget about in two weeks.

Cool. Most of the world makes it work but we can't. Got it. We need to continue to count ballots for weeks after the election because of BS excuses the rest of the world somehow gets around.

You keep saying this, and it continues to be false.

The only places where counts can drag on is places where ballots may be counted if they're postmarked by election day and the election is close enough for it to matter.

We generally know who won the election the following morning. Republicans whining about non-existent fraud from the head down doesn't change that.

Another Fing emergency, no doubt. Seems to be the go to for the justification for his unilateral actions on (insert Stephen Miller wet dream here).

The voting rights act sets conditions for States to follow for Federal elections. This would be no different.

A historical analysis by Gallup shows Trump's approval ratings in August of his first years in office − both as the 45th and 47th presidents − are lower than any other modern president at the same time in their administrations.

In a Gallup poll conducted from Aug 1-20, 40% approved of Trump's job performance. Here is how that compares to other presidents in August of their first year of their term, according to Gallup:

  • Joe Biden (August 2021) - 49% approve

  • Trump (August 2017) - 36% approve

  • Barack Obama (August 2009) - 53% approve

  • George W. Bush (August 2001) - 56% approve

  • Bill Clinton (August 1993) - 44% approve

  • George H.W. Bush (August 1989) - 69% approve

  • Ronald Reagan (August 1981) - 60% approve

A judge has ruled the Trump administration’s use of National Guard troops during Southern California immigration enforcement protests is illegal.

It would be different. VRA is more an anti-discrimination law. Presidential fiat like this is an intrusion into a realm that is explicitly the domain of the States.

I personally hate that I have to say this EO "should" be struck down by the courts

We also have the 26th amendment which limits the States ability to regulate Federal elections (even State elections in this case). If you read my earlier post I said it had to be something done by Congress and not by POTUS EO. I am in 100% agreement that it can't be via Presidential Fiat.

The Dictator loses again.

right, I literally said states control the enforcement.

there's no federal law, and Trump can't just make laws up.

this is performative nonsense to distract his mouth-breathing base from being cucked by Putin and the costs of tariffs coming home to roost.

Just chipping away at the rights. So it wouldn't be surprising if maga was happy

Though it's only if their president does it because if it's the other side then they start an insurrection lol

You also seemed to miss my post where I suggested it could only be done via Congress. Obviously, Trump can't do something like this via EO. The point is that there are several places in Federal Law already that regulate the methods of States running Federal Elections. There isn't anything new with that. Of course, we can debate where the lines are drawn and I suspect that SCOTUS would ultimately weigh in down the road should Congress further codify regulation of the States' handling of Federal Elections.

As for the performative nature, I agree 100%. My comments on this topic are to be taken generally and not specifically under Trump. In any case, Trump will no doubt declare a Dem victory in '26 invalid for whatever reason he can come up so this topic won't really matter either way when it comes to how Trump will behave at the end of next year.

Guy breaks the law constantly and the cucks still support him. What an absolute sad place in time for our country.

And here we see another cuck happy to lose his freedoms. Cucks gonna cuck.

Rogue judge-You can't send them in. He gets checked by a higher court and it's allowed

Same judge-You can't keep them here. Same judge about to get checked again by a higher court

You all cry the entire time. The freedoms we are losing are due to activist judges trying to exert power they don't have.

More winning against these judges
