The DoD still has not said what AUMF this fell under.

So, in other words, there wasn't one.

Serious question: at what point does the military have a duty to disregard an order that is illegal?

If there is no authorization from Congress (even the flimsy one that allowed the protracted engagement in the GWOT), and the president orders the military to fire on another sovereign nation's ships, does the military have standing to refuse the order?

I guess you have no problem killing a bunch of fisherman and believing it's a drug boat because Trump said so.

Meh. It's safer than the blind trust you had during Covid.

That is a tough call and I’m glad I was never put in that position.

When even Bill Maher is calling it out a year ago it's not made up.

Definitely not made up, also definitely a loud but small minority. Zero of the people you argue with in here are for that.

So not blaming Biden anymore on this but pushed it to a year from now

Oh wait, let's blame Obama on this though. This administration is not serious and an embarrassment

I mean for cranking off rounds in someone else’s general direction? No.

Really congressional authorization isn’t a thing until we get to 60 days of boots on the ground.

Trump doesn't care about Farmers and he is responsible for their plight.

Trump and Maga are sexist. This proves it.

Farmers are just going to have to wait until trump gets all the trade deals completed that drove exports way down from the reciprocal tariffs every country put on US goods and turned so many countries away from buying US agricultural goods. I’m sure trump is laser focused on trade deals right now…

Also, the tax cuts for the wealthy will surely trickle down to their charity organizations to buy the $2 Billion worth of agricultural products that used to be purchased by USAID.

Trickle down economics is really going to work this time, just might be a little painful at first. 😉

Ronnie on Tariffs. He knows the reality.

Tren de Aragua doesn't operate in Puerto Rico, the only US territory they could have claimed it was headed towards.

They just blew up the first boat they could find. Murder.
