September 10Sep 10 I just can’t get over how awful things are becoming under this POS. What a joke we have become.

I didn't see a single meme or tweet or comment on Fox news pushing the narrative. It fell flat and they didn't swallow it. I know it didn't come straight from Trump so it wasn't actual gospel but still, being ridiculous has never stopped them before.Maybe some of them are finally waking up to the con.Mike Johnson stated publicly that Trump was an FBI informant

September 11Sep 11 Trump speech completely one sided blaming the left for all the violence. What a piece of sheet to take the horrible murder yesterday and make it entirely political. No one divides the country more than Orange Man.

Anyone who expected him to rise above it all with a unifying message in this moment was kidding themselves.

September 11Sep 11 Political violence or violence in general, regardless of left or right wing is unacceptable. Murdering someone for different views or beliefs needs to be condemned by all. We have become so divided as a society that even these horrible acts are not reuniting people. There is one constant to this extreme division IMO. It’s the person sitting in the Oval Office. His rhetoric has brought out the worst on both sides of the political spectrum. The US is imploding from within. All the true enemies of our way of life are sitting in their chairs and are eating their popcorn joyously.

You weren't in here back then but I used this phrase "lock&load" to describe what I saw as a division running amok that would ultimately lead to a significant ramp-up of sporadic but recurring violence across the country that would be politically or culturally motivated. This seemed to me to be a likely longer term result of the combination of the alt right and the nutty woke identity politic based left. It has gone a lot slower and taken a lot more time than I had feared and we aren't totally there yet but it seems like we are getting dangerously close now. Hopefully the reaction to this latest event will be met with calm sane heads but I doubt it and particularly so given the Orange madman in the WH.

I would say that a bunch of democratic countries nowadays have a more divisive population than back then. It seems like the extreme wings of left and right are waging a war that is now out in the open. There was always some sort of division simmering underneath the surface and Trump was the one who opened the floodgates IMO. I think that most can agree that "extreme” is never a good path. It’s just too bad there isn’t a middle ground anymore. Where are the centrists? I just don’t get that so many people can be fooled by this grifter, who managed to catch lighting in the bottle in 2016 and so on. Showing fealty to one person is not what this country was founded on.My fandom is to a specific team, like our Eagles, but never to a single player. They come and go but the team remains, regardless if good or bad.

It isn't the classic divide from 30 years ago as the right is more authority based and sucking up parts of the working class that used to be on the left but there is a clear divide none the less. As for Trump, I agree 100%. I never felt Trump started it but he took the opportunity and drove a massive wedge into the populace which really helped him cement his position.

Immigration is a huge problem as well as these overly sensitive woke issues. That’s why a lot of people are over correcting towards the far right. Heck, Germany could actually have the far right AFD with the most votes in the coming elections. Blame goes all around, so it’s not solely one sided. It would be to everyone’s benefit to not get sucked into extreme political viewpoints. IDK if we can somehow get out of this mess unscathed.

We have our SD right wing party (with a Naztzeee sympathizing past) as the 2nd biggest and largest on the right side. We also had a HUGE immigration run over 15 years culminating with the massive wave in 2015 that led to shutting the border. Germany took in more back then but Sweden took in more as a ration of the population. Clearly the two places that were hurt the most.

It’s drained vast amounts and the immigrants choose these two countries because of the free handouts of money etc.. The policies of the left leaning government is abysmal and it’s destroying the entire system. There is no way to sustain it if this continues.

Not mention Kirk's death isn't bigger or more important than the hundreds of school children who have been murdered. I don't see Fox talking heads cry when that happens.
