Wouldn't call the border to be "good" considering the way he's done it is illegal

Don't conflate the border with deportation which is a different thing

You can't even come up with say two or three examples? That's weak sauce man.

No, I'm saying I will not engage in that even if you want me to. Think what you want about the list. Talk with other people about that if you want. I'm not going down that today.

Exactly! I think the deportation stuff is disgusting and doing more harm than good for our country. But, the reductions in illegal border crossings is good.

It's all under one thing for maga so...

Right and you do that because you can't come up with any other examples to make your point other than the border. All good.

Again, think what you want. That won't be a two minute discussion. It will go for pages and I'm not interested in that today.

There are chunks of MAGA that don't like what has been going on with deportations. The bros, e.g. Joe Rogan, is the lead example. In any case, you don't have to agree with lumping them together as they most certainly are not the same thing.

Alright. Agree to disagree

They are the regime's two pronged solution to immigration policy. They are absolutely intertwined and I don't think anybody involved would deny it.

Yes they are separate parts of the overall WH immigration policy. One can be bad and one can be good. There is no contradiction with that.

One can be bad and one can be good like a football team can have a bad offense and a good defense. But they are the same team , attempting the same goal of eliminating immigrants from the US.

He was arguing that the tariffs are a good thing?

Sure was. That was yesterday. Not playing 9 on that either today.

Sure but it is perfectly reasonable to break it up and have a specific opinion on each part.

That makes sense given that you'd lose that argument as well.

He did. Badly.

If only. The problem is none of them can get past the fact that Trump lies every single day about who pays the tariffs. Since they don't dare contradict him on this basic fact, there's really no entry into a substantive discussion about if they are actually effective or not, or even what the end purpose of them is. Fealty to Trump supersedes the basic frameworks needed for debate.

You saying he still believes the foreign country pays the tariffs?

In some cases. Absolutely. Others no. Still support them.
