The 12th says you can't be vp if you're ineligible for president. Their ineligibility for election makes them "constitutionally ineligible to the office of president" in the broader sense. If they are "constitutionally ineligible to the office of president" the 12th explicitly states they cannot be eligible for VPAs Vikas pointed out, the 22nd doesn't say that a person is ineligible to be president and being elected 2 terms. It says you're ineligible to be elected to the office of the president.

They'd need to go from one of the lines of succession besides the vp to circumvent the 12th. Like the next in line (speaker)

Like the next in line (speaker)I don’t think it does. The 12th amendment discusses the eligibility required to serve as president, nothing to do with being elected. Back when the 12th amendment was written, there were no limits on how many times a person could be elected president.

The 12th says you're ineligible to be that vp if you're ineligible to be president (you've been elected to 2 terms). So the only loophole is through one of the other lines of succession if they've never been elected president for 2 terms

Everyone learned this in 3rd grade social studies. 2 terms means 2 terms. You can’t serve a 3rd via VP because serving 2 Terms Makes you ineligible.

He's going to do it right through the front door, either by daring the SC to stop him or just suspending elections. We do know for sure he is not stepping down voluntarily in '28, the question is how. My guess, 3+yrs out is:Allow the performative election process to happen, looming large and overshadowing the whole spectacle.Whoever wins (and if his tanked economy loses even better), flood the zone with a mix of 'elections were rigged', 'country is at war', emergency powers', and straight up 'i don't care'.Attempt again what he tried the first time and have Vance indefinitely delay the certification (another defeat he needs to avenge)Something like that. No back doors and he won't "run" per se.
