In all seriousness, this is absolutely how insecure far too many Trump supporters are.

They don't want to admit they're wrong.

They want to quietly distance themselves and be allowed to anonymously end this crap at the ballot box.

The best approach would honestly be to keep the media focus on how ef'ing crazy Trump is and to hold the digs about his base. Nobody likes to be preached to by political foes about bad choices.

Plenty of Trump voters are decent people who voted poorly. No need to chase them back into doubling down.

Voters ain't monolithic.

Lots of trump voters are total crap-bags. There's plenty of examples right here on this forum.

But Twitter and, if you can believe it, the EMB are not real life.

Lots of Jill Stein voters are complete morons too. But the left isn't going to get their vote by calling them morons.

Van has been clear that his preference is to make them pay, not get their votes.

Remember: if only 1 in 20 Trump voters either decide to abstain or even flip elections become landslides

I'd like nothing more than to make plenty of the worst Trump voters feel the pain. But that's kinda how we got here.

Ross (ICE agent who murdered Renee Good) should see the inside of a prison cell.

Miller should too. But being a nazí shítbag isn't illegal. So he'll just have to suffer being a prematurely bald PoS.

But we’re not talking about real life. We’re talking about Twitter and we’re talking about the EMB. People’s reaction here and on Twitter should absolutely be mocking and telling these freaks to get F’d because as with everything else these scumbags say, it’s a lie. They’re losers desperate for attention.

Real life is different. People are generally just nicer in real life. My brother voted Trump, realized he F’d up pretty quickly and said so. I make fun of him for it but I’m not holding it over his head.

Well then we generally agree.

My parents both voted Trump. My mom mostly because she does whatever my dad says. My dad is more the die hard.

It's a weird situation. But if I just condemn Trump - correctly - he just digs in harder.

If I talk around it then he gets the picture. He doesn't like it, but he gets it.

He's fairly die hard. But I may get him to at least abstain.

Because no one gives you their votes by being nice to them. Voters don’t reward they only punish. My preference is for the Dems to do everything within their power to make things as sheety for everyone while Trump’s in office. Then let the voters punish Republicans (because they will). It’s what Reps do every time and it works.

Which just tees up MAGA to cycle back in.

How do you break the cycle?

You can’t. The other side is ruled by people that fundamentally hate America and what it was founded to be. It’s civil war at some point. All you can do is try and put it off.

…and now we circle back to several pages ago when I suggested you may as well just start the shooting with views like that

Honestly? Start regulating the ish out of social media and designate foreign bot farms as legitimate military targets.

Anyone who was paying any amount of attention over the past decade and still voted for Trump three times has something wrong with their brain. These people are simply far too disconnected from reality and the effort and resources it would take to successfully deprogram them would be colossal.

No I shouldn’t. Obviously it would be a nightmare for everyone. I’d prefer to get my son through draft age before the shooting starts.

You also have to shut down Fox News.

To be fair, recognizing that a certain percentage of Trump voters need to be won over in order the end this insanity, but also that they're Fing irredeemable morons for doing it in the first place are not mutually exclusive thoughts. Civil Rights groups have been writing instruction manuals on how to slowly win over large groups of dumb a-holes for decades. Doesn't make them not dumb a-holes though.

100% agree

There's a significant portion of the electorate that just doesn't care to follow the news, and when they do they get it from one of the channels, any of which are horrible. I mean, to an extent I understand why they accept the news as the news given they came up with a news environment that was pretty well crafted and curated, but they don't have enough intelligence to be able to understand how things have become more biased over time.

Frog in the pot.

And when they do actually start paying attention to politics, one of their main sources is political advertisements.

Karl Rove had this figured out with how much Bush used framing. If you can get quick quips, a la "flip flopper", it paints your opponent into a corner they can't get out of.

At the end of the day, people don't give AF about policy. It's all about the vibes.

Gotta love Bruce.
