If you mean the "both sides” approach then the answer is that very few take that position and those that do regularly get **** on by both sides. In any case, at this point nearly everyone in that lane has moved to an anti Trump stance and rightly so.

If you mean the Dems making a targeted effort to recoup the bloc they have lost well then that hasn’t been tried. They also haven’t tried the super aggressive F all Repubs approach you would like to see. They should certainly go for one of those in a strong coordinated manner.

The both sides approach is garbage. It’s for wimpy people with no morals or principles.

90 million people didn't vote. Dems don't need to convince Trump voters of sheet to win. And they wouldn't respect Dems groveling anyway. They'd laugh at them and vote for the sack of sheet that says all the stupid sheet that entertains them. Appeasement doesn't work with the right.

This certainly doesn’t work with Trump! The whole world has gotten this wrong and the "West & other allies” are paying for it right now. You cannot appease a bully, especially if he is as low IQ etc. as Trump. The extreme MAGA crowd & his butt lickers are also in this category. They’ve given up their soul and are just lost.

I think Doc is talking about the ones that are not sucked into the cult, but voted for him for selfish reasons. Most of the rich and powerful voted for him for obvious reasons. Many voted for him because of party over morals, which makes NO SENSE to me. They’re still plenty that believed his nonsense and didn’t think he would do all the crap he is doing.

I see your point as well. It’s not an easy task either way. I wouldn’t try to "appease” the right, but still try to reach across the aisle in order to pick off the ones who still believe in morals, democracy and separation of power. Might not be a huge number, but better to separate the normal from the crazy…

Problem with your last paragraph is at what expense? When you start trying to reach out to the tiny number of potential pick offs from the right you start alienating a portion of your own base, which isn't a majority of the Dem party but it's a hell of a lot bigger than any stragglers you can keep from voting Rep. It's just not worth it. And structuring your entire party (and building an entire media ecosystem) around trying to get a handful of people to not do something self destructive is a really, really poor use of time and resources.

Europeans burning the American flag seems like a bad sign

Seriously. MAGA is drunk on the kool-aid. They at beyond reason. The only way out is to appeal to the millions who didn’t bother to vote.

Dems need to reclaim the flag. Maybe show up at a protest with an American flag?

The most insane part of this is that Trump supporters think they're conservatives.

I've sad that since day one...there is nothing conservative about Trump or most of his policies.

You wanna know who is enjoying this the most? RUSSIA and PUTIN. They actually have newspapers in Russia egging on the US administration to take Greenland. They’ve written it to cozy up to Trump’s ego. Statements like, "taking Greenland would be the biggest accomplishment since Lincoln abolished slavery” or "President Trump is building his legacy” etc.. 🤮

I wouldn’t be shocked if Putin is giving instructions on how Trump can push over the rest of the West. Trump is doing EVERYTHING that the Kremlin has been working on since WW2.

I guess I still have too much hope that this whole thing won’t blow up completely.🤷‍♂️

You’re probably right, as you’re in country and certainly have more insight on the massive divide than I have.

I’d just hate it moving forward with no return to any type of normal.

The ones I’m suggesting to target already have massive remorse. Should be a layup. Also, those on the couch are mostly staying on the couch.

I’m not sure how you guys missed all the voters that moved from Biden to Trump. That’s where Trump won last time. A ton of those are Hispanic and African Americans. They are a big chunk of the margin where the election was won. They most definitely aren’t stragglers.

Thats something I’ve wanted since 2016

People are pissed off over here. They’ve been moved far enough that they want something to happen now.

Yes that’s part. The other part is the part Trump moved in ‘24. The Hispanic vote and a chunk of African Americans. They are definitely already back having seen what has transpired. Especially the Hispanics.

Just because someone doesn’t reside out on the fringe doesn’t mean they don’t have principles or morals. You dope. The only reason there is a both side approach is because both suck so bad and have let their fringes get too much power. The GOP was completely consumed. At least the Dems have retained a level of integrity.

The protesters here in Bucks do that. Lots of veterans too. They are out there every Friday in front of Fitzpatricks office.

I don't blame them.

Trump posting private messages from world leaders is a massive break of diplomatic trust. Things are getting reality bad now.

Trump the traitor. should be charged with espionage.

When I went to the first No King rally in Lancaster, I carried an American flag.
