My brother works for FEMA, he said that they got a memo today from OPM called "Fork in the road" or something like that. In it, it gives Federal employees the option of resigning and receiving 8 months of full pay (no working required), or staying on in their jobs. 

I guess that a way to purge a percentage of Federal workers (who will surely take the option) and get them off the rolls. 

I heard part of the funding freeze stops federal money going to churches. I'm in!

It's hilarious that anyone would think they can get paid for not working.  This is Trump we're talking about.  He doesn't pay anyone.  I would be very very leary of taking this offer.  The workers that do will likely get stiffed.

Obviously there is waste and bloat. Some of these cuts, perhaps even a large amount of them will be positive. Even I'm not on board with cutting school lunch programs and cancer research though. 

Honestly, this presidency is going to be interesting because the extent to which the federal government has been robbing taxpayers blind isn't very well-understood. The stuff that's going to come forward is going to be mind-boggling.
