I would be very very leary of taking this offer. The workers that do will likely get stiffed. My brother's not going to take the offer. He's just a couple years away from when he plans to retire. I don't doubt that anyone that takes the offer will get paid, I think President Trump probably looks at it like it would be cheaper to pay them 8 months pay and then purge them off the rolls than to keep them on the payroll. He probably believes that those who take it will be the ones that don't actually do much work anyway, and those close to retirement who are likely at the top of the pay scale. So he probably looks at it like a money saving plan. A lot of 'probable's' there, but I haven't really read a whole lot about it, just my thoughts on it. If it were me, the only way I'd take it was if I hated my job and wanted to move on or if I were 7 months or fewer away from retirement anyway.
January 29Jan 29 Trump is on pace to get 10M illegal migrants deported in just over 40 years, wheeeeeeee

Paul has had so many rage bait headlines thrown at him over the last week, that he literally doesn't even comprehend what he's getting angry at. He saw something relatively vague about the suicide hotline, but he knew it was supposed to illicit a negative reaction or even outrage from him, so he responds much like a trained seal. It's why the NPC meme got so much traction, and it's also why Trump's strategy of overwhelming the news cycle is so effective.

I had no idea WTF you were even talking about. Calm down.

January 29Jan 29 DOGE basically outsourcing the finding of insane government spending to anonymous X users is the most efficient thing the government has ever done. Imagine happily voting for this kind of spending and calling everyone who voted for the opposite candidate dumb.
