Fruit is the one I expect is really going to suck.

Yes, almost all fruit during the winter is imported from south America, Mexico and Canada. Fruit is already expensive this time of year.

This has got to be the dumbest trade war ever. I know we all thought his term would be bad but the country will not be able ro withstand 4 years of these awful decisions.

Everyone knew it was a good idea to destroy NATO and start a trade war in North American.  Not to worry. The guy who bought Twitter along with the guy with dozens of failed businesses are in charge.  It’s the economy stupid.

I've got 2 kids, both of whom are going to be toddlers at some point during this stupid ass administration. The berry bill alone may bankrupt me.

Better take some of that college fund and make a berry fund.

And then they'll wonder why their recruiting is low.

Unfortunately low recruitment has led to military retaining poor mid/senior enlisted performers just to maintain numbers.

It’s going to be interesting because if it weren’t for female recruits the Army wouldn’t have hit their recruiting goals last year.

Who needs standards when we have officers acting like junior enlisted on a TDY in Thailand?

Id say it will be switching back to US grown soon but, the deportation of agriculture immigrants will impact that as well.

I did just have strawberries on sale for $1.99 those prices wont last

Anyone actually stupid enough to vote for him on the notion that he was gonna lower the cost of groceries deserves this. There's only so many times you can tell someone not to touch a hot stove before you give up and sit back to watch their dumb ass find out for themselves. Normally I'd say it's the only way they'll learn, but it's the second time they've burned themselves, so clearly they lack the capability of learning entirely.

We have been consistently raising prices since he won.

I think strawberries are mostly domestic. Although not having farm workers will hurt of course. The compounding effect will be insane.

All that matters are eggs

Tariffs on the EU are next, especially Denmark.

It is as if Putin could call the shots

all the berries I've bought for a while have been from Mexico.

but we all know berries are a luxury food, as long as Hungry-Man meals and budweiser stay "cheap" the midwest will think he's winning.

This is in response to Putin and Xi, not at their direction. Seems like some of you should be smart enough to look at a map, consider the geopolitical potentials, and figure out why he's doing what he's doing. Especially given that you are convinced that the earth continues to warm.

I understand the importance of Greenland but it isn’t smart to destroy/damage relations with our long time allies. There are many other ways to improve parameters without attacking friends.

The funny/sad thing is his supporters think because grocery prices did not sky rocket in his first term that these round of tariffs are not a big deal. But when it did it the first time it as a targeted tariff on aluminum and steel. This time is a broad across the board tariff on anything from major trading partners.

I better go ahead a buy a new computer and replace my iphone 6 before the prices of electronics/appliances go up due to tariffs on computer chips.

"Were you better off when Trump was president than now" was always the dumbest Republican battle cry. Trump benefited from his circumstances. He did nothing to improve the economy whatsoever. He is not a trailblazer and cannot come up with an original idea to save his life. That's why all his businesses fail and his latest money grabs are just taking advantage of existing fads (shoes, NFTs, crypto). This was all painfully obvious to see. Now we are in trade wars with allies, are gutting our government and a foreign billionaire has access to every single American's information. Well done, America.
