Honestly I don't understand how stupid you would have to be to even drive drunk in the first place.

Like it's not that hard to not drive drunk. "Hey, you know I feel like getting blitzed to the point of making an a** out of myself tonight. I might as well get a handle, stock up on nicotine, and make sure I have enough microwavable snack food in the house so I can get ish faced without being an embarrassment and when I get hungry later I won't burn the house down trying to make a frozen pizza."

Even going out, "hey man I'm kinda buzzed, mind giving me a lift since I'm on your way?" FFS, if you're out at a bar drinking alone, just Fn stay at home and be a loser there.

Or better yet, when you go out, be the DD. I love being the DD. You can make some good money. On the way to drop people off I stop at every gas station, get out, and make it look like I'm pumping a full tank. "Jeeze Bill, the gas mileage on this thing sucks."

You've also got the "functioning" alcoholics to worry about who are drinking while doing their errands on a random Sunday afternoon.

I asked my mom, she said she had to beat you arm wrestling 3 times before you would finally stfu about how tough you were and instead started telling everyone you were going to drink them under the table. Then after 2 RumChata shots a 3 michelob ultras she saw you passed out under a table covered in drool and urine. Last thing she remembered was seeing bar staff carry you to a Nissan Leaf uber driver for your ride home.

So I guess everything checks out.

Since the invention of Uber, there's no excuse to ever drive after drinking.

100%

Out in the sticks there's no Uber or Lyft. Even still, though, stumble the couple miles back down the dirt road to your house.

I can usually get an Uber during the day but it's much tougher late at night.

Worst case sleep it off in the car. There's no reason to risk being on the road.

It's kind of weird to me that the DOGE thread is pretty much only about Teslas now. I've never owned a Tesla, so don't really have an opinion on their quality. Even though I'm not a fan of EVs at this time, I appreciate the innovation that has been coming out and look forward to seeing it continue to improve. But if someone wants to make a Dodge thread, I've owned several and I'd be happy to share my experiences and criticisms in there.

Recently put a mail hold with USPS as we were on vacation. Since our return, I’ve been receiving an email on what is being delivered that day. It even provides a photo of the piece of mail. Didn’t sign up for it but to me this seems waste of time and money. Here’s link.

We've been using this service for years. It's just forwarding the automated mail scans they already had been doing to your email address. It's sometimes handy to know if you're getting something important that day but most of the time you're just getting advance notice of all the junk mail. But there's no "waste" at play, for over a decade they have been using automated scans with ocr of the destination address to ensure the letter is going where it should be. So the reason why this is free is because it's trivial to then take this scan and forward it to the email on file that's already linked to that destination address.

It got turned on for me when we went on vacation and I did the same. I like it because it lets me know if it's worth walking out to the mailbox or if I should wait a day

We get almost no real mail.

Hell, the Amish themselves could do it.
