You can't bring corporate sensibilities to government because government isn't an entity making widgets to turn a profit. Government provides the essential services needed to fill in the gaps that capitalism cannot solve. DOGE has already caused damage and instability it was meant to disrupt Federal Government. There is no real savings. For every dollar DOGE "saved", Departments are forced scramble to fill in the gaps as DOGE made their indiscriminate cuts. The ripple will be felt for years as services are eroded. But at least the MAGAs get to say "we tried to fix it". Nah, you broke it.

Yep, I saw that. I think Musk underestimated the task at hand as well. He thought he could just steamroll everything and turns out you can’t. You can break some sheet but that comes at a big cost which Musk is now taking.

There is no question that the bill that came out of the house is a flaming turd. Not sure how that's Doge's fault though. They cant cut entitlements without congress.
