"The US government currently has ~4.6M active credit cards/accounts, which processed ~90M unique transactions for  ~$40B of spend[ing] in FY24," DOGE said in a post on X Tuesday.

And? You've never worked for a company that gave you a credit card for work purposes (travel expenses for instance).

I have a hard time understanding how you all just parrot these things without taking 10 seconds to think logically.

And all of those expenditures were subject to the Anti-deficiency Act.  Funds have to be available and set aside for purchases on cards. It speeds acquisition of certain items.  This is just someone who doesn't know ish about how the government uses these cards tweeting to try to rule up the public.

See above. If you wish to disregard it, do so.

Department heads are all telling their employees not to answer the Musk OPM email. Even Patel instructed his FBI employees not to respond.

Yes he did. How productive is it for Elon to receive 1 million+ emails about what a person accomplished when they couldn't even figure out what the DOE did before they accidentally fired 300 essential people

The idea of all FBI employees emailing a billionaire from another country what they have been working on seems like a terrible idea.

Why are you against stopping fraud and saving the country money?

/internet

Elon has censured a number of anti DOGE tweets from the Republican town halls over the last few days.  He's certainly not kept his "free speech" moniker.

It Hurts was applauding auditing Fing Mitt Romney because he was worth too much for his government salary, so it could be worse.

Yeah no idea how Romney got that much money on the small salaries of Massachusetts governor, US Senator, and CEO of Bain Capital.
