Just for clarification, it's a CR.  It's kicking the can down the road yet again.  We haven’t had a traditional budget in ages.

No, I'm talking about the draft high level budget the GOP passed in the House not the CR.

If we wanted to find some cuts, the billions in subsidies to the world's richest man might be a good place to start.

Are you sure that you are not talking about the 4 trillion increase to the debt ceiling?

The CR is sitting at a 2.8T deficit which is terrible.

Sorry yes, a budgetary reconciliation allowing for a debt increase of 4T over a budget period.  Not a single year budget.  I was unclear about that.  Thanks for correcting me.

Estimates vary of course depending on the forecasts.  I've seen it as high as 6T even though 2.8 is the official number.

So, yeah it was the CR.  My bad.

I just wanted to make sure we are all on the same page.  2.8T is optimistic bordering on realistic.  The true value(?) Should fall somewhere between and probablycloser to 6T. 

 

The problem with CR's is the limitations on material changes from previous years spending.

He is a good guy who just walked after trying to be reasonable with someone that's impossible with. We are in his house and he deserved better.

Yeah, our numbers were on the same page but I got the terminology wrong.  That's important so thanks for pointing it out.  I have some learning to do with regard to federal financing details.
