He’s just very limited. His arm strength is very limiting for the offense.

Yup, there were a couple throws that were broken up because it took the ball so long to get to the WR, I can remember 3 to AJ brown where if the ball gets there quicker its 3 catches 3 1st downs instead the DB got to every single one

Even the drop by barkley was underthrown and took forever to get there which allowed wagner to make a play on the ball, barkley still should have caught it but a better throw and its an easier catch.

Not to mention his pocket awareness is atrocious as well.

I would have rather seen mckee, hes not mobile but hes got an arm.

  • Even the hurts haters have to admit that without him we’re a much worse team.

  • Sure. They'll play Daniels doing the bird 5 times and then Carter will kill the dude. Don't get the negativity. We were destroying them until Hurts was out and then had another garbage clown show

  • Trash talk. You don't get thrown out for that. Horrible refs. Those thugs knocked our QB with a dirty hit and our guys are getting tossed for naughty words? Seriously.

Pickett wasn't good, but he made multiple throws that should have been caught that would've iced the game, it also wasn't his fault the defense crapped the bed so spectacularly when we had them in a 4th and long that would also have ended the game.

We were due a loss after 10 wins on the spin, better to get this turd of a performance out of the system now, but they have to clean it up for next game.

The irony of this loss is that it majorly brings into focus that the Eagles very well may play WAS in the 1st rd.

Of all of the terrible played and decisions today.

Slay’s 12 man on the field - and running off leaving his responsibility of the field empty has to be the most egregious and worst - especially as the veteran of the team. Calling a timeout or just getting the penalty and playing saves an instant free TD and takes more time off of the clock/lives to the next play.

He’s just not a good QB. He did give us a chance to win, but he’s also just enough of a liability to handicap the team in various ways.

Another issue I haven't seen brought up. Dallas Goedert.. This offseason this needs to be addressed. This guy has missed key games the last few seasons. Especially with a backup quarterback, a good possession TE goes a long way to help get a rhythm and be a safety blanket. Plus Calcaterra was a liability today.

3 drops of which any one of them are caught and the game is over

Agree. And you can even speculate Smitty and Ajs drops contributed by the noodle arm. I get it these guys make millions to catch a ball but when the balls not spinning like there used to it can be tough.

Yeah but smith dropped a pass so it’s its his fault we lost , nothing to do with any of the other mistakes that cost us 😂

In a League that is quite offen advertising the trash talk of it's players because it is something we all enjoy this doesn't make him an idiot. The Refs were.

You don’t talk trash to the ref. That’s what he did, and he was an idiot for doing so.

No, no, no.. Jake Elliot’s fault for missing that FG attempt.  Or else we would’ve won or at very least, tie game.
why did we let go of Cameron Dicker the kicker!

The defense had a chance to bring the win home. They failed.

They failed on a number of occasions…

Random thing related to the hit on Hurts that knocked him out of the game:  I think what the NFL is doing to protect people is BS and poorly implemented.  They make hip drop tackles a penalty and dont call them.  They "protect" QBs when they slide but even if they get the roughing call its 15 yards and the QB is often put in a MUCH worse position related to concussions sliding into someone that hits them from the side or front as they are totally exposed with momentum taking their head down and backwards already.  They need to fix the crap and focus on the intent and put in replay assist on 100% of the plays to remove the dirty intentional crap.  I know I know its not the way football used to be blah blah. But if your going to try and fix it then Fing fix it.  Otherwise just let them play and expand the rosters so they can still put out a good product.

Jalen didn't slide but he CLEARLY went down intentionally and curled to try and protect himself and his knee was down when Luvu went in with a clear intent to "get a hard lick" in even though Hurts was already clearly going down / down and no faking going down.  If he slid their there is no guarantee that he doesn't still get hit and yeah maybe they get the 15 yards but so what if he is still knocked out of the game?

Fix crap for real or F off and let them play.

They won’t fix it though because the more time goes on the more I’m convinced there is match fixing going on. Th officials will do what they need to do to get the result they need more often than that.

ive started coming to the same conclusion.  The ambiguity gives them leeway to "put their thumb on the scale" for ratings etc.  They technology is there and they willfully won't use it and betting is legal now so what other conclusion.  I skipped Sunday ticket this year for the first time since its started on DirecTV back in the 90s.  I'll watch key play summaries online post game and for the Eagles I might just start watching it after the game is over and just skip the crap games.

Honestly I watch red zone every week and I think it every week. Then I watch us every week and we get bogus call after bogus call. And then you see the calls KC gets and I mean they are going to win the SB again. It seems to be what the NFL wants so that’s what is going to happen.

Hard to find fault? I think it’s easy. Fangio with his soft coverage crap at the end. CJGJ with the disqualification. Smitty with the drop. The TD we gave up when having 12 men on the field. The flags. It’s quite easy to find fault.

yeah but we made 5 turnovers and our backup QB had a pretty good day. That's kind of what I mean.

He didn’t have a pretty good day. He’s so limited and his arm is so weak. If he starts he’s going to be a problem and put this team in a hole.

you realize our offense put up 33 points today, right? That's usually enough to win you the game

Barkley’s drop was definitely due to an under thrown pass by Pickett. If he throws that pass better Barkley doesn’t have to awkwardly turn around into the defender while falling to the ground. And for all of the talk about Brown drops well Brown bailed him out a lot in this game too. He sold those PI calls. He had to turn around and catch that duck in the air Pickett threw into double coverage. There were windows in this game Pickett tried to throw into that he didn’t have the arm strength to fit into so Brown took some big shots on some of those drops.

7 with Hurts… And the next 7 when Hurts got us in the red zone. Then what 6 points when we got the ball in plus territory? So 33 points with an *.

Agreed. This was hardly a great performance by that defense giving up 5tds, and 22 points in the 4th quarter, nor was this a great game by the back up and his 12 2nd half points. The Eagles needed touchdowns and he provided field goals. Apparently he also got hurt on that sack fumble was well. Bottom line is if Jalen produced a game like that after getting five turnovers people wouldn’t be saying he played well. Pickett didn’t even complete 60% of his passes.

I’ve seen multiple people link the Eagles to replacing Goedert in the draft. He’s never healthy. He’s basically Maddox on offense

Not to mention i think he's in the top 5 highest paid at his position.
