The Eagles played their best games at the end of the season: NFC Championship and Super Bowl 59.

It's sweet to be champions again!  :Eagle_smiley:  :LII:

I agree if they can only keep two. Don’t have any worries about Stoutland plugging someone in Becton’s place if needed. Sweat will hurt to lose but he’ll definitely get overpaid somewhere. Also curious if his knee will hold up as he ages.

They have to sign Baun, who I heard might even give a home discount.  I think Williams and Sweat will just be asking for too much at a position in high demand across the league.

Becton ?  He seems truly happy playing on this team under Stoutland, who resurrected his career. Wouldn't surprise me if they sign him.

Shame that we are going to have to find a new OC again.

BMitch on the radio talking about he’s not afraid of the Eagles and that the Commanders handled the Eagles better than the Chiefs. Bro they dropped 55 on your boys. 😂 Then they went the whole if this guy or that guy didn’t fumble nonsense. The Eagles forced those fumble. Hello!

I listened to that as well. Funny, he didn't talk about the miracle finishes to games they had. Sour grapes knowing his team will be back to their losing ways next year.

I have tried to preach confidence for weeks and months. There are too many Eagles fans with PTSD from decades of losing, previous let downs with teams that should have won and didn't.

  • We had those 80s high hopes in the 1980 SB, having finally beat the Cowboys and seeing that famous Montgomery TD run against the Cowboys. Only to lose the SB.
  • We had the 90s amazing defense and the exciting Randall, but that team never won even a playoff game. Let down, and we had to watch the Cowboys go and win 3 Super Bowls.
  • Reid brought winning but couldn't get over the hump. Heart breaking NFCCG losses, high expectations and a SB loss by only 3 points, with Spygate and the Pats getting in trouble for cheating. We also saw the Giants win 2 SBs during that time with goofy Eli and being a wild card team. Why can't we get over the hump? We deserve it.
  • 2017 team, we had a let down with Wentz getting hurt and wondering if we could go far. Even in the win, we were all holding our breath on the last hail mary play. I was thinking, you never know with Brady. The clock hit 0 and I paused, said to my friend is it really over? I wanted to be sure there wasn't some fluke flag called or something.
  • 2022 we were let down by that crappy field, Gannon's defense twice let Chiefs WRs wide open for easy TDs, and the refs bailed them out.
  • 2023 they had an epic collapse and it left a bad taste in our mouths continuing into this season.

So I get it. We're used to let downs. We're used to being anxious. We call it "passion" when guys are saying the game is over/season over when it's the 1st quarter of a regular season game and it's only 7-0. It's anxiety and over the top negativity.

It needs to end. This year, there was still some leftover feeling from last year's collapse. I blamed Siri mainly for that collapse, and seeing his immature antics and bad game management early, I thought he learned nothing. I called for them to fire him. He got national attention for yelling at his own fans and being immature. We worried they hadn't learned from last year. They started 2-2 and we worried going into the bye. They turned it around. Siri got more focused and balanced. Fangio's defense took off. The offense found its identity. DeJean inserted as a starter. Baun and Becton reclaimed their career here. The team began to not just scrape by with "ugly wins" and leave us thinking they're going to collapse again. No, they dominated teams. People worried about the Rams, Bengals, Ravens, Steelers, even the Commanders.

This team had swagger, confidence, played aggressive, bullied other teams into submission, all they talked about was team and winning. Every time there was some drama talked about (Barkley not getting records, Hurts/Brown about the passing game, Brown reading a book), the team stuck together and had each other's backs.

They were the best team in the NFL, and dominated in the playoffs. They dominated and embarrassed the Chiefs, who were already thinking 3peat and expected to win easily. They had no answer. Mahomes was rattled. Reid looked lost and shocked.

And we can put down the hurt and disappointments from the past. This team did not disappoint. They are set up well to repeat.

They are the best team in the NFL and Super Bowl Champions.

I agree with you 99.9%.  I'm one of the select few who don't use the field conditions as the reason we lost 2 years ago. The Chiefs played on the same field, and I really like the way the team handled that loss. They didn't make up a bunch of excuses. Even the defender (I forget who it was) said "yeah, it was pass interference. I was holding his jersey. The refs were letting us get away with it all game and they just happened to call it right there."

There is a certain D lineman who just left Cleveland that would replace Sweat very nicely.....

We gotta draft our own garrett, parsons, watt instead of paying a kings ransom in picks for someone just short of 30.

Maxx Crosby would cost significantly less resources, i think. Howie should perhaps whisper a lil something in Raiders GM ear.

Did anyone see a post-game handshake between Siri and Reid?  The cameras were focused on the QB's, but I never saw the coaches.

As we stand here with the latest developments. We now have a pretty firm Top 5 in QBs in the NFL.

1. HURTS

2. MAHOMES

3. ALLEN

4. BURROW

5. L. JACKSON

You can take your pick in the order and make a great case for each one. But for this exact team, I'm going to ride with Jalen. And he's 2 years younger or more than all of them and can project further in potentially expanding his game. Handled blitzes better and made improvements in pre-snap audibles and line protection calls. He"s only going to get better as a QB.

And please don't list me your boring regular season stats. 🥱

And on the sidelines watching his backup (and former backup), just like last time.

Just had to pop in to say congratulations on your well deserved win over the Chiefs! Well done, I haven't enjoyed a Super Bowl more in years! A masterful beatdown of KC, what an awesome way to become World Champions!

So many media STARTING their programs today talking about the Chiefs instead of the Eagles. Their conversation is more about what the Chiefs did wrong, why Mahomes failed, they'll be fine they just need to ________ this offseason, blah blah."

Good Morning Football is the one that hyped the Eagles to start, especially the defense.

He was being delusional. They were so pumped about how they felt they could own the Eagles, but in the next moment were acting pick it would be difficult to beat the Chiefs. 😂 So you will beat the Eagles, but lose to Chiefs? Meanwhile the Eagles demolished both teams. 😂

Noticed that too. More of a what went wrong for the Chiefs vibe. What went wrong is they ran into a younger and hungrier powerhouse and frankly considering the last time these two teams played the Eagles won and the time before that in that SB the Eagles gave them all they could handle. Two SB appearances in three years. That’s pretty dominant.

Congrats to Mahomes for catching Jim Kelly and Craig Morton for 2nd all time with 7 SB interceptions.

Elway's record is 8

Mailata, Sweat, Nolan Smith and Blankenship said they expected to win like this. They were confident and knew they would dominate them. They knew everytime they were in the meeting room the determination and focus they had.

Milton Williams on not needing to blitz: "nah man, we got dawgs up front." Also stats, accolades, etc. don't matter, just winning.

You can get most of this in a Tick Tock vid or a short on YouTube but I highly recommend todays First Things First for just an epic troll job on boorish ultra-arrogant Chiefs fan Nick Wright.  They get him so good like 6 times.

Also you need to watch Shady at least for his intro on The Facility.

Has Jason Kelce put anything out on the Eagles win? I haven't seen him at all and I have been watching Eagles stuff all day... Odd
