It was quote. Disprove that at your leisure.

What cannot be disputed is Kirk was assassinated by the left.

They are being held to account and it's being recognized globally.

At the moment it does not appear that any of the excuses are breaking through. Its a losing argument.

Now do one for how the American Right has called the American Left Socialists and Communists for decades.

Shame that political assassinations are a thing now. Guess this is what we get with Trump's America.

Almost like acting like a toddler since his initial candidacy and running on divisive reality TV like BS, as well as being the instigator of politics being injected into everyone's lives at the highest rate I've ever seen, is really bad for having a united country. Huh. Who knew.

Oh well. People insisted that having maturity and a steady hand in the office of the president didn't matter, so this is the price that we'll pay I guess. Because now we're going to have more people like him on all sides and the strategy has changed to blanket people with politics until their brains stop functioning.

Such a healthy state of affairs.

Is it possible that the nonstop barrage of hateful anti-lgbtq rhetoric spewed by the right set the shooter off? what did Kirk say about lqbtq? I didn’t follow him.

It does really seem to upset the confused, medically unstable ones doesn't it?

You have almost reached "he deserved it". Well done.

I don't think he was wrong but it wasn't something that the lunatics amoungst them wanted to hear.

I'd suggest you watch some of his unclipped interactions and make your own determination.

Tranny's have had issues long before Trump was president and will continue to have them until treatment is radically altered instead of trying to alter them with drugs, hormones, and bolt on parts.

I'm never going to say anything like he deserved it. I'm talking about the incredible fall of our country's political sanity since Trump's election, not specifically because of Trump's policies, but because he does not carry himself in the way that Presidents of old did, regardless of political alignment. With former Presidents, you could disagree with them, but they mostly showed respect and reverence for the influence of their office.

Then populism happened, which depends on the manipulation of individuals by giving them someone to look down on and blame for their problems. That combined with treating the office like a reality TV show, and social media greatly amplifying people's tendency to get mad at the personal opinions of people they've never sat down to eat with (as well as spreading harmful rhetoric), and congratulations, you have a crisis as fear mongering that was once localized to Fox News viewers becomes the norm in all aisles of politics. People aren't designed to have politics inserted into their lives 24/7.

Is that clear enough for you, or do I need to go further?

Okay now address the general political callousness that has also arisen from the disrespect of the office of the presidency and increasing amount of charged rhetoric since 2016. Social media already made people's callousness towards others worse, Trump's lack of professionalism amplified it further, and now it's going to be the norm indefinitely unless people realize they're being crazy and start 'just wanting to feel safe' enough to try to elect a steady hand.

Once upon a time it was literally just common sense that the President should at least outwardly be able to be a role model for youth. Yet, all those people seemingly forgot that it could go both ways. RIP.

And no, my 'okay' isn't agreeing with you, I just don't care to discuss that.

Did you not see the pushing grandma off a cliff ads by the Democrats during the Reagan years? Or the populism of the left that precedes Trump directed at the rich?

The only thing you have right is that political discourse has failed and the ability and appetite for compromise died after Clinton left office.

Trump is more a symptom of the death of the political climate of old than the cause. Unfortunately, he is the distilled purified essence.

Last I checked I used the word 'mostly'. I'm not dumb enough to deal in absolutes. I'm saying they MOSTLY respected the office prior, and acted with some level of professionalism.

Also, you missed my angle on populism, so I'll expand a bit since I can be more clear. Populism leveraged against the fellow man became mainstream as it effectively worked synonymously with social media eroding the respect that people had for others. People's tendency on Social Media to act like people are a dime a dozen due to easy interactions that lack consequence for treating others like trash (social media algorithms are clearly made to make you angry), combined with the lack of respect for the office of the Presidency to land us where we are today.

I try to squish some of my points into smaller size because a lot of my points are examinations of how things affect the mentalities of people, especially since we're so clearly in a mental health crisis. So many people are clearly unstable, lacking self-esteem, looking for any sense of belonging, trying to bear economic pressures, worried for their future and such, so they're taking it out on others around them and all of these things above is exactly why we've gotten into such a dangerous position.

Remember, Democrats are the people who refused to stand for young cancer stricken DJ Daniel.

I agree that social media has manifested and amplified the worst qualities of humanity.

The funniest thing is that I'm hilariously pro tech, but I think there's a responsibility component too. Things like socials are fine in countries with strong discipline and some collectivism to make people have an inherent disdain for being unkind to others - like it just makes them uncomfortable to be that way.

However, in extreme individualism countries where selfishness and complacency of how your actions affect others are both considered rights, people are way too immature to handle that well into their adult years. The United States, unfortunately, embodies this perfectly.

trump brought the disrespectful, hateful political rhetoric in our country to a new level & that’s not even up for debate. it’s devolved from disagreeing with the other side to hating them.

This is spot on
