What he said was apparently "offensive" enough to gather more than a few complaints if ABC corporate was willing to shut him down. He's by no means the first in my lifetime. On cable TV he'd have likely had no problem at all.

The "cancelling" question is somewhat ironic. Weeks prior a cancel campaign was initiated against a rather well built white chick because she wasn't black and obese.

He was shut down because he ripped on Trump who’s the most thin skinned person alive. The head of the fcc said as much. You can spin it anyway you like this is government control:
