While Witten had a great HOF worthy career I don't think he gets in on first ballot, should he? The bias fan in me says yes, the fact is if Antonio Gates didn't get in on the first ballot how does Witten? I don't think he had enough AP seasons, and he also never won a SB.

Sucks but thats just the way it is, one of my favorite Cowboys of all time, dude came to work and produced, only missed one game in his career...that's an insane stat. That one game came against PHI in 2003 and it was because he had a broken jaw from the game the week before.

I remember that draft well, Witten was my favorite TE in that draft and everyone knew the eagles were going to draft one.

Second round came around Eagles on the clock Witten still on the board and what does Andy do? Drafts LJ Smith☚ī¸ LJ smith was a better athlete but witten was a better football player as we saw LJ turn into a waste of space and witten a HOF candidate.

Reid Drafts Witten instead of LJ maybe that 2004 super bowl ends differentlyđŸ¤ˇâ€â™‚ī¸

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

How in the world is this guy in the NFL?

Looks like Adoree is playing Friday

Among TEs, Witten is also second in catches/yards and sixth in TDs.

What are the chances?

Witten will get in eventually. Witten isn’t universally considered one of the best at his position ever though.

lol "Gameday concussion protocol evaluation” is the weirdest thing I’ve seen on an injury report

I was strictly going by single season. I'll update my post since there's confusion

single season isn’t going to be eye popping. Especially with overlap with megatron, AB, Julio and a few others. However he had maybe 4 seasons with average or above QB play.

This is a mediocre run blocking OL.

I think the mediocre OL - good pass blocking and poor run blocking.

The injuries to Dickerson, Jurgens have impacted run blocking far more than run blocking and Steen for Becton moves the needle further in that direction

I agree. It was just something I noticed when looking at his

Maybe they just need to practice for longer if KP says there isn't enough time in a week for him to install much of a gameplan.

who was getting into it with who?

The guy did lead the league in drop to tackle ratio his entire career. đŸ¤Ŗ

I got exactly what you were saying. He’s one that tape and his career totals speak his story. His 2008 playoff performance thoughâ€Ļridiculous.

At the end of the day he’s a 1st ballot HoF human and football player. I have him in my top 5 wr all time.

Five out of our remain six opponents have bottom half of the league defenses.

Seven our of first 11 opponents were in the upper half of the league.

We'll see how they fare against the bears, but I anticipate another offensive failure

I don't think our pass blocking is all that good. When it is good it is very good. But it can be very mediocre. Jurgens is a downright terrible pass blocking center this season, Steen is OK but nothing special, and the left side of the line is not what they have been the past few seasons. I'd say overall, our offensive line is bottom 10% in the league.

If the Oline is mediocre then why is the run game horrendous? I’d kill for mediocre.

One dummy on offense made the entire season about the passing game in the media but the team can’t run.

The one game where the offense looked like last year was the one game where the run game looked like last year and AJ didn’t even play.

So, it turns out that Jackson doesn’t have a concussion after allâ€Ļ.was just held out as a precaution.

Also, Blankenship not injured nearly as bad as it appeared when he was also held out for the remainder of the game.

Good to hear, I suppose. But, did the over cautious approach ultimately cost the game?

Jurgens was pretty mediocre/bad at pass blocking last season too. I thought he was overrated because of the overall success of the O-Line.
