No one could have seen that coming so Howie gets a pass.Yep, finally made the move. Never made sense for a team who's entire philosophy is based on turnover differential and explosive play differential. But I think they are going to try and squeeze him back on the PS. Trying to get his waiver period on gamedays for most other teams to try and limit chances of him getting claimed.

He said no thanks because he knew he wouldn't ever play behind Hurts or Lamar, which makes sense on his part. Again this is what was reported. It may or may not be accurate. Eagles took Kyle McCord in the 6th so not sure where they were thinking of maybe drafting Sanders.

That doesn’t mean he didn’t want to be here.Pro Football RumorsZach Ertz Wants To Stay With EaglesZach Ertz has been with the Eagles since 2013, and he doesn't want things to end. In an emotional press …They didn't trade him because he wanted more money. Ertz wanted more money and then he wanted out, released or traded. Eagles gave him permission to seek a trade but no other teams were that interested in him. They kept him around while Ertz was emo all summer now being behind Goedert on the depth chart and then he wasn't traded until a month in the season.

Howie and Ertz couldn’t agree on a number. Ertz got pissed and then wanted out after contract talks failed. He wanted to stay, both sides couldn’t agree, so they parted ways.I don’t even know what point you’re trying to make.

Because he didn't get a big new contract he threw a fit and wanted out. If he didn't want to be released or traded then he would stayed.

6 hours ago6 hr Regarding the Ertz injury. I keep seeing comment after comment on across platforms claiming it was a dirty hit. When every highlight is in slow motion, of course you it's easy to say stuff like this. Slow motion replays make analysts out of everyone. When you watch it at true speed, it's as bang bang as it gets. I'm guessing the defender didn't want to go high to A. avoid a fine, and B. avoid the body mass to save his own body.

The DB is responsible to not go head or neck in that instance. There is no such thing as going low to a guy who is leaping through the air.Looks like a freak injury to me.
6 hours ago6 hr Neither of these offenses scare me in terms of personnel... Packers or Bears... but they are both WAY more effective than the Eagles' pathetic schemes. The way our offense struggles just boggles my mind.

That game never should have come down to that fumble by him, but he never should have even fielded that punt in that spot, let alone not have good ball security on it after he made that stupid catch. But, there's no reason for them to put him on the PS. I'd have made him walk home from Dallas.
