Cause SF if they win next week vs. bears ( and this week) creates whoever wins seattle (if they beat the panthers) vs. sf in week 18 would be the 1 seed. Then got to hope lions can play in cold weather in week 18 at Chicago
December 21, 2025Dec 21 With all due respect to Mike McDonald and Vrabel, Ben Johnson should win coach of the year.
December 21, 2025Dec 21 Always figured it was the 3 seed as likeliest outcome here and pretty happy about it. Everybody beats the crap out of each other while we rest some weary and banged up players for the next 3 weeks. Great outcome! Coaching staff can legitimately fine tune and focus on the playoffs strategies and doing some final tweaking while playing backups the last 2 games and not exhausting themselves with game planning, etc. A hard fought late season Bills game in the Arctic was always unappetizing for many reasons.

December 21, 2025Dec 21 bring up Terrace Marshall. Its time for Marshall, Cooper, Shipley, and McKee to outscore the Bills.

December 21, 2025Dec 21 Not really sure what game to watch tomorrow. With Dallas eliminated...let me repeat that...Dallas is eliminated HAHAHAHAHA...That game has lost a lot of luster and part of me is ok if Dallas wins just to hurt their draft a bit.But still, it's always fun watching Dallas lose at home.

December 21, 2025Dec 21 The reality is this game had no real discernible preferred outcome for the Eagles other than a tie. The Bears have the tiebreaker head to head over the Eagles, but they also have the tougher schedule than the Packers. I think the Packers are going to beat the Ravens and the Vikings. And the Bears will lose to the Niners(who have a ton to play for) and could lose to the Lions. And on top of that the Eagles had to win out regardless.

Just 3 weeks of giving up.
December 21, 2025Dec 21 You can’t rest starters for two consecutive games and expect to start strongly in a playoff game. Doubs handed CHI that victory; that guy finds a way to be a complete tool almost every game. Botching an onside kick under the old rules was bad enough. With the new onside rules, that was comically bad from the Packers.

December 21, 2025Dec 21 Just finished watching the Eagles game on delay. Had a Christmas party. Observations:- It’s amazing how fast you can watch a football game on delay.- I’d imagine this has already been hotly debated, but I thought Hurts had a typically mediocre passing game. 3 big misfires to AJ Brown. Under 200 yards passing against that pass defense is not something to be proud of. Where I thought he was very good was his decision-making on when to tuck and run. He did it when no one was open and with excellent success.- Jordan Davis has been the best DL on this team this year. He has become a must re-sign. - Commanders are a pretty hapless team, but they at least tried to play the game, unlike the Raiders.

I don’t think they are magically going to find something against Buffalo in 20 degrees in Buffalo that has eluded them all year on offense and will spring them into the playoffs. 21 days off for the OL, however, might actually give us an OL we haven’t seen all year that does lead to a strong start in a playoff game because Saquan goes off.
December 21, 2025Dec 21 Also…the tush push needs to be completely scratched from the playoff playbook. The magic is gone. They can no longer execute it at an acceptably repeatable or reliable level. Better off with a run with Barkley or Tank.

Feels like rust cant hurt this team. But maybe a little mini offseason can help.

It's a majority conversion play, which is always acceptable. They aren't better off running it because they have the highest rate of tackle for losses in the NFL. They need to run it and actually execute it. And Stoutland needs to do his job for a change this season and start coaching up the OL. And they need to get back to doing it the old way, because they changed some things about how they do it and they made it worse. Because this coaching staff overthinks and sucks at everything. If anything they need to do it more. Just do it right. In no way with this OL ever be better off handing it off than sneaking it. Unless they hand it off on a fake tush push. But certainly not a traditional run.
