I took one step off the front steps (concrete, of course) and fell down all 5... hitting each one on the way down.

My mother still made me go to the bus stop. Then the bus driver decided about halfway to school that they weren't going to make it up the hill to the school. That bus driver canceled school that day. He called in, "I'm never getting this bus up the hill safely. So, I'm taking these kids back home. You can figure out what to do after that." He was a hero from that day forward.

I really enjoyed this scene from Landman. Jones looked like such a good actor here and I think its because it may actually be him truly telling his life story from the heart.

Yeah and I'm not sure what his point even was there. Jerry is the owner, so obviously he can remain in power and do whatever he wants when he answers to no one. And it's not like he would be the first owner of a team to do so at an advanced age when he should've given up the reins years ago. That would still be the case whether he had rings or not. Pretty weird post all around.
