Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Are we sure Dov doesn’t exist on this board….

Dov started getting famous once Don left the boards full time. Just saying.

Was Adoree CB2 today? The Raiders Offense was so horrific that I can't recall if he even played or not. I remember seeing Ringo out there late in the 3rd and most of the 4th quarter. 🙃🙃

Don’t forget they are $34 mil over the cap heading into the offseason.

Tbh the reason the Chiefs have the issues they do, is because Andy Reid has gotten away from what his core values are. Which is building up the trenches. Their offensive line has gotten significantly worse over time. You can lose Tyreek Hill and survive with the wide receivers they have. Rice, worthy and brown aren’t great. But they aren’t bad. they are good enough. The issue really is every year since 2018 they have gotten a worse along the offensive line. at this point they have Humphrey, Trey smith and i think Simmons will be fine if he stays healthy. Everyone else is not good. Trading thuney was a mistake considering how the oline needed help last year at both tackle spots.

Andy when he decides its over, would be the kind of old guy who is just coasting to the end of his career and wouldnt leave for a HC job. We need to get in his ear about coming back to hang out with Fangio up in the press box at games, eat burgers and cheesesteaks, design our offense and call plays.

td vikings..but nailor down

nailor gets up tied at 7

I really can't take Collinsworth. I'm so tired of his dumbarse aw shucks wannabe comedy routine.

I’d add to this what does nagy give Andy Reid as an offensive coordinator? I get it’s Andy Reid‘s offense and it’s him. But I would like to have somebody who’s overviewing everything that is not Nagy who frankly i think has always been overrated and stinks.

No Pat mahomes dick to gobble tonight. He is confused.

To your last point, I tend to agree. However, this team reminds me a lot of the 2023 Chiefs, who won the Super Bowl. They had an outstanding defense. they rode it most of the way through the playoffs with the offense making plays when they had too or giving the defense just enough. The offense didn’t have the same problems. But the Chiefs had different set of issues with their offense  but like the eagles it wasn’t as prolific as years past. Had games were scored 14 vs. raiders, 17 vs. Buffalo and 19 vs. Gb. But playoffs they found ways to score 26, 27, 25 and 17. If the eagles can find a way to get themselves to 24 points the have an excellent chance to win every game. That said eagles offense (Minnesota had a defensive td) has done that 5 times in 13 games.

That's the model for winning this year. A not that good team with a top notch defense, an out of sync offense, and the ability to find a way to win in the playoffs against an uninspiring field. Then they met the all around true best team in the NFL that year (SF) who just wasn't able to hang on the biggest stage.

If we were more committed to taking our penicillin during the season and getting this OL healthy and right, then I'd think this offense could have upgraded itself (maybe) to that 2023 Chiefs situation.

Just to point out the rams have a harder SOS than the eagles and beaten more current playoff teams than the eagles. Eagles against teams currently in the playoffs 3-3 (beat rams, packers and TB; lost to broncos, bears and chargers). Rams 5-2 (beat SF, jags, Texans, Seattle and Tampa bay; lost to eagles and SF). According to tankathon eagles have a .491 SOS this year. Rams are .521.

So rams have played a tougher schedule than the eagles and have more wins vs. playoff teams.

Just because you have more talent than another team does not make you a better team. The Eagles have more talented team than the Dallas Cowboys, the LA Chargers, and the Chicago Bears and that they lost all three of those games.

You can keep coming with this BS like where you say well you can worship the bills or you can worship the rams, it’s dumb. Nobody is saying they are unbeatable and they’re the greatest team ever. What people are telling you is it’s not just the Eagles who are a good team. You like the crap on every other player and every other team that’s not the Eagles. You come up with all these stats for everyone else. I can come up with stats for the Eagles that show that they haven’t been a very good team since bye. So I could say the same to about keep worshiping the Eagles and you pretend they don’t have their issues and flaws like offensive coaching, play calling, lackluster offensive line play in run game and hurts playing a bad 5 game stretch.

Here is the problem. You are moving the goal posts.

The Eagles are 5-5 in their last 10. The Rams are 8-2 DUH!

What does that have to do with player ability and talent instead of everything that goes into a game?

Are Bo Nix and Caleb Williams better than Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson now based on record?

I'm not talking about AJ not running a route or Baun dropping a pick in his hands. I am talking about talent.

Patullo is not part of the talent.

You go ahead and break down position group by position group and sell me on the Rams over the Eagles on talent.

I'm saying the World Champions of last year that are mostly the same and replaced guys like Sweat with Phillips are top notch.

You are the one trying to prove the Rams are better or the same.

The Eagles were better than the Rams then they destroyed the Rams. This year with this talent.

The Rams made it close because Matt Pryor was horrific. He only plays in mop up now.

If Pryor played every snap today the Raiders could have won.

The Eagles just held a team to 77 yards of offense without their best player on defense (Carter).

The offense just went up and down the field all day without their best player (Lane)

The Raiders lost to the Jags and Bears by a single point.

They went toe to toe with the Broncos twice in 1 score losses.

They did not belong on the field today with the Eagles talent.

The Eagles talent was incredibly better than the Chargers. They murdered their offense and the Chargers defense got beat a bunch.

AJ dropped 3 passes and Mailata held or it would have been a 10+ point Eagles win with Hurts playing just a terrible game.

If the Eagles show up and screw up like Monday night, they lose to any team in round 1.

This was the 4th time the Eagles D in its current form has just abused the other team (also Detroit and Green Bay)

The Cowboys game was Baun dropping a pick and then the refs just reinventing the PI rule book to screw the Eagles like 5 times.

If I know ahead of time that the refs will cheat for the Rams like they did for the Cowboys then I'd be really worried.

Even after this shutout they will be ranked something like 6 and 15 on D. I am saying they are 1 1 or 2 2 on talent now. (right with Houston)

The Jags are way better than expected so good on LA and SF for playing them.

The Texans team that LA played in week 1 had 4 O-lineman that just joined the team and barely practiced together under current rules.

Their WRs were mostly in the tub instead of on the field.

The Texans started 0-3 but have been 9-2 since. They may finish with an 11-6 record but their talent is more like a 12 or 13 win team.

I might have Houston as AFC SB favorites behind only Denver. This current version.

If Buffalo played them in week 1, Buffalo wins.

If LA played them in week 12, I think Stafford would have had a very bad day.

Something Eagles fans have painfully experienced

I love going into a game being the more talented team on paper. Because you feel better about your chance because you’re the more talented team. So you have an advantage there. But the game isn’t played on paper and just because you’re more talented does not mean you’re a better team at this point in the season. almost every game we go into we are the more talented team on paper. Yet we sit here today with an inconsistent offense and a team that’s 9–5.

I was wondering today- How long does Andy hand around in KC. How long till he realizes their run is over? And does he continue sticking around or just pack it in when he realizes theyre done?

Theyve declined greatly over the past few years. Maybe Kelce retires. Chris Jones should start declininc soon. Now Mahommes could be seriously hurt....

Then I thought, how soon till we can get Andy to come here to be our OC?

Mahommes reported ACL.

Not as big of a deal as it used to be but still a serious injury.

Chiefs were done last year, the refs willed them to the playoffs and the superbowl where of course they got smoked, all those close 1 score games caught up to them this year, I Love Andy but if I were him I might think about retiring, he doesnt have anything else to prove, hes had a hell of a run, he'll be first ballot HOF and go down as one of the best coaches ever. No shame in that, still stings he never brought one to philly but hey we got Two without him.

I just remember being told that, at the time of injury, a positive test is virtually diagnostic. But acute swelling and guarding/compensation with muscles prevent you from ruling anything out with a negative test.

Yeah. With a knee injury its really important to get out on the field and get a drawer, and a lachman very quickly. By the time you get the athlete up and over to the sideline, theyre probably already guarding and the effusion can be blowing up already. Then you get nothing.

You really had to have a pretty low threshold for ordering an MRI. If they describe a pop or shift, feel give way you can basically order it based on the history they give you. Then, especially if that story is accompanied by an effusion.

I had a kid at an away game. That athletic trainer called me and told me he had a dislocated patella. I saw him the next day and tried a knee eval. But he already had a nasty flexion contracture and I told him I really cant get a read on these tests. It feels rock solid but that could be all muscle and joint fluid. But if this trainer says you had a patella dislocation, then you need to go get it checked because thats a pretty significant injury and we want to rule out anything else to other ligaments, as well as a possible fracture that often occurs with the dislocation.

He saw the doctor and they also documented a very guarded exam. Ordered MRI. Sure enough, he had an ACL tear.

No so much.

I think Nagy is just a functionary, not getting in the way but not making lots of decisions.

He is not Frank Reich who helped shape the 2017 Eagles at crucial times and he's no innovator.

I would not be surprised if the Chiefs move on from Nagy.

I think Joe Thuney deserves some praise. He has really anchored that Bears O-line and KC is floundering without him.

I don't think AR would be anything but a HC. When his time comes, maybe, maybe to stay in the game he'd dabble in a highly paid consultant role. But I think he's one of those guys who is all in or all out. He's not going to put in the hours of an OC without being the HC.

cool you wanna make up excuses of why the Rams won games. Cause I can make up excuses why the Eagles won some games too like the Bucs dealing with a plethora of injuries. The eagle got the Chiefs early without rice and worthy and barely hung on to win.

You like to make excuses for why the Eagles flaws are what they are and boost them up. And why they’ve not shown they’ve been better. But you sure as hell nitpick with other team who’ve been more consistent and won more games with a Tougher schedule.

You do this all the time. You wanna call out people for worshiping other teams. But you go above and beyond making excuses and bring up obscure stats to build up the eagles and knock down everyone else. Dude it is OK to admit there’s other good teams in the NFL. It’s not the Eagles are the only good team in the NFL. I know that’s hard for you to believe. There’s also other QBs besides Jalen hurts who are good QBs in this league.

Chiefs issues are less WR and more they have 3 backup type players playing on the oline. Taylor, Moore an their LG are not quality starters. LT, RT and LG are not starting caliber players even if they are paying them so. Taylor stinks. Moore is a backup. It’s pretty Amazing it’s gotten to that point when you consider Andy Reid’s philosophy along the oline and trenches.

The chiefs need an OL. I think their WR situation could be interesting if Mahomes gets more time. Mahomes needs to change his game from hero ball to drop back and dispense from the pocket like Manning/Brady/Brees. He'll be 31 next year off a repaired ACL. The acrobatic off balance throws with one DL hanging off him are over.

If Mahomes can adjust and they can go all-in on fixing their OL...then they can be back very quickly. Neither of those things are guarantees though.

54 minutes ago, HazletonEagle said:

He has always looked elite and has never played with starters. No different today.

I dont know about " Elite" but hes made the most of his snaps. He and cooper seem to have good chemistry

Always been a fan of Mckee and in philly the backup qb is always the mist popular player

Would be fun to see him a full game with the starters to see what he can to but unless hurts gets hurt Mckees only real chance of playing will be on another team, hopefully Howie can work his magic and get a good haul for him.

I could see a team like Indy being interested, depending how Shough in New Orleans finishes Kelen moore could pull the trigger, either at at this point I think its clear hes a starter in this league

They did some to try and fix their o line this year but they all got hurt

They had a guy from the PS start today, amd another undrafted guy start today.

Their O line just had a ton of injuries this year but yeah, get that healthy and solid and mahommes is still good enough to shred a Defense.
