Mcnabb from 2000-2003 had minimal WR talent, 1 could even argue that 2002 was a good group with thrash, pinkston, antonio freeman.

That 2002 team was the first team to have 5 guys with atleast 40 receptions , the 3 mentioned above plus duce and chad lewis. They were ranked 4th in points/ game that year

2003 their lack of a top flight WR exposed them though after that year they also started enforcing the 5 yard contact rule due in part to the panthers and the patriots mugging receivers all year

From 2004 til mcnabb left he had enough talent at WR to win it all, Tom Brady won a couple super bowls with less or as much at WR as mcnabb.

Hurts has been fortunate to have really good WRs most his career but most qbs struggle without good WRs.

Not to mention Reid ran a super qb friendly system.

Id be interested to see how many of Mcnabbs pass yards and tds came rom RB screens and shovel passes.

Let's just continue to ignore the fact that no QB ever consistently failed to show up in big games than McNabb. He played small in big games...always. He would completely crap the bed early in games, fall behind stage a moral victory of a comeback and then blow it in the end....the king of grasping the defeat from the jaws of victory.

Hurts has demonstrated serious flaws that are well documented and justifiably so...but...he shows up in big games in big ways. But the defense won the last Super Bowl...blah blah blah....it was Hurts' running that opened up lanes that KC had no answer for and sustaining crucial drives. He and Foles are the two biggest gamers this franchise has ever had...period. I will take that over a 5000yd/40 TD lose in the playoff passer any day of the week.

That team also had Westbrook on it who was one of the most underrated weapons in NFL history. Bone on bone knees kept him from being an all time great.

Ill give credit to mcnabb in 2008 and thats about it, he played really well that game but the D coming off of JJs cancer diagnosis got abused by kurt Warner and the wildest playoff Run by a WR the league ever saw, Fitzgerald hit god mode that whole playoffs.☹️

I was at that NFCCG and I beg to differ...fell behind early ...valiant comeback and an incredibly dumb and unforgivable time management decision by Reid ended all hopes. He had a chance to run Westbrook for a moderate gain ...go to the 2 minute warning and scheme a series of plays...instead a rushed pass play and then the infamous desperate Curtis incompletion on 4th down.

Looking at individual accomplishments, I think Coop, Quinyon, and Baun belong in the pro-bowl this year. Jordan Davis is in the conversation, but not sure he makes it. No one else is really in the convo.

1. Passing in the NFL was tougher sledding then than it is now.

2. Yeah...Mcnabb absolutely crapped the bed on an annual basis eventually every single post-season to end their season. Mcnabb was well known for protecting the ball in the regular season and transformed into a turnover machine in the playoffs.
