Personally I don't care about seeding. Lock in at #3 and rest some guys. We have a defense that travels, and even at #3 very possible to get two home games. I'd love to go to LA for the NFC Championship game and pound that offense into submission. Actually, as of today, that is my preference. Smash the darlings once again.

It isn't 4, it's only 3... and it really isn't that impressive given the amount of money spent on these players. Incidentally, those 3 players combined for nearly 4k yards last year (3917) in only 16 games. This year, those 3 might combine for just over 3000 yards, and that's assuming they play in all 17 games. Color me unimpressed.

The 4th player listed is the 10 TDs for the TE.

But, let's also keep in mind that last year they racked up 6200+ total yards of offense... ranking 8th in the league. (364 yd/ game)

This year the Eagles are at 4400+ through 14 games, ranking 22nd in the league (314 yd/game)

Points per game, they average 22.9. Last year it was 27.2 ppg.

And, based on some of the more meaningful advanced stats, they are near the league bottom... like most 3 and outs. That's not 'functional'. Let's not try to pretend the offense has been anything other than a major disappointment compared to the investments made. You can put lipstick on this pig if you want... but its still a pig.

Big improvement in Dickerson in terms of power. Jurgens looks more mobile. It's not so much a change in scheme though as having guys who can make the blocks. Well, there is a significant addition to the run game - Latu. We ran roughly 20 plays with him as a FB-HB and when I say ran, I mean we didn't pass a single time when he was on the field - unless I missed something. With Jurgens moving better and Latu blocking we're much better on the outside zone runs and with Dickerson pulling left to right we have finally gotten some success with the inside zone.

Major caveat: the Raiders suck.

He could be sued by the Referees union for slander and libel. Probably won't be but he contended in a very matter of fact tone they cheat to get in TV and then brag about it to their friends. He didn't suggest they could be doing this, he stated it as fact. They could say it damages them personally and professionally and could result in lost income, especially Lawyers who rely on integrity as a marketing and policy pillar. Even a modest improvement in the run game will really help. Given the way the D is playing we can absolutely win playoff games if we can just get a decent push rushing the ball and can grind out some first downs and get 130+ yards on the ground. We can certainly win 16-13 against anyone (save maybe the Rams).

I really believe we will be running the ball on 60% of our plays in playoffs with lots of heavy packages that include Fred and Latu in the formation. If the OL can hold we can make a run.

Yea the 1 seed was gone when they blew the Bears and Chargers games. 2 seed would be nice but not at the risk of playing all the hurt guys the next 3 games

On the other hand, playing in Chicago sounds better than hosting the Lions. Of course, I'm just speculating here.

He was smart, accurate and composed as a pocket passer in college. Decent athlete…good arm and character guy. He was a decent NFL QB till he almost got killed and probably should have just retired.

After Burrow…all the prospects had some flags. Herbert and Love are either great or terrible, never in between. Hurts won us a SB (thank goodness we didn’t draft Love), but is a constantly questioned on how good he truly is. Everyone else I’m pretty sure is out of the league.

Tua won't be starting next season. Or I should say he won't be signed to be a starter. Maybe he beats someone out. But with his concussion history and lack of production, no team will give this dude a starting job. I could see him being a Jets insurance policy or something. Or maybe going to the Vikings with KOC as a backup or something.

At this point in the season they aren’t even really practicing. It’s basically two walkthroughs and one short practice each week.

I don't really buy into the getting hit part of it. Also, being cleared to play isn't the same as being fully recovered. Carter likely has a shoulder condition which requires surgery. So getting hit isn't going to help it even if he's rehabbed to the point of being cleared to play. Part of the question with Lane revolves around protecting Hurts vs. the risk it gets worse with playing. I still think he would be better in the playoffs with rest.

I agree that the suggestion Loeffler has more influence because of the shovel pass is silly. I do think the bigger problem is the lack of integration between certain passing concepts and run concepts. They were running under center and passing from shotgun. There is no misdirection because 2 different coaches are drafting plays without regard to how they work together. They did a better job with that against the Raiders. I think that matters as much or more than calling plays. My guess is that someone is pushing for that change. Whether that's Loeffler or not is impossible to say. It could be Howie and Lurie telling Sirianni to fix the problem.
