That's what they say. But, how do we know that it actually does?

We dont.

I'm sure some does but not all of it. Maybe 60% goes to charity and then the NFL and whoever else get their cut.

This is the first season I've ever watched HBO Hard Knocks. Do they always premiere late in the season like that? Are they going to go back and show the beginning of the season later? Right now they're showing each recent week. Why not just do that from week 1?

This is basically a spinoff. It’s only the second time they have done a Hard Knocks: In Season and it’s basically just a glorified NFL films recap with a little extra behind the scenes.

Hard Knocks was always one team and during Training Camp. It used to be a lot better and focus more on rookies, roster long shots or some stars rehabbing injuries. It was much more about the life of a football player than a game recap. That’s how the world got all the funny Rex Ryan clips during meetings.

Yeah most of this is game recaps and in game mic'd up, not quite as much behind the scenes.

Has Michael Carter done anything?

Jackorian Bennett?

They both played 3 snaps in garbage time when they pulled the starters against the Raiders. Other than that, not really.

12 year losing drought. Today, fans can't handle an ugly win much less a string of losses.

I said within a couple years he’d ask to be dealt. He’s gonna wind up getting traded to the jets who have a ton of picks… lol

Hurts for Burrow straight up and we never lose again

Ok so catching up on Hard Knocks from last week and I gotta say that Smitty thinking you could survive a plane crash by waiting till you’re close to the ground then jumping out is pretty bad lol

Vic has used Carter to play as an extra CB in place of Epps.

Oh so now he's trying to show up Jalen by being more charitable.

75 yards. That's some crazy ish. I don't give a F who the other team is. 75 yards.

It is going to be interesting to see how Houston’s Defense does against them this week. They will almost surely be looking to better the Eagles’ 75.

Yep. Lose a couple games and people must immediately be fired. I wasn't even following in that era, or really the early 90's, too young. But the family member that introduced me made especially sure (that family member is from Philly) that I was very aware of that history, and I've never took it for granted. It's why it shocks me so much that it seems lost not only on the younger people, but on some of the people that have been around too. The demand for excellence is really weird when it goes too far, because in reality that standard has never been met until recently, but now if it's not met suddenly we have the worst coaches in the history of our team?

I mean, okay I guess?

Fact of the matter is we've been super spoiled over the past 25 years, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

In the past 25 years we've been below 16th at the end of the season in points scored exactly 5 times.

2005, 2007, 2012, 2018, 2020. So for 20 of the past 25 years, we've enjoyed an offense in the top half of the league. It feels like the understanding of the struggle has been completely lost. By old Eagles fan standards, 2023 wasn't even a bad season, but in the recent days, people act like it was the worst season they ever experienced.

OK, so if I did it right.

Eagles win out.

Week 16: Seattle over LAR, GB over Chicago

Week 17: ATL over LAR, Balt over GB, Chicago over SF, Carolina over Seattle

Week 18: SF over Seattle

Eagles get 1 seed.

-or-

Week 16: LAR over Seattle, GB over Chicago

Week 17: ATL over LAR, Chicago over SF

Week 18: AZ over LAR, SF over Seattle

Eagles have to handle business, but Week 17 is huge.

AZ over LAR? That must be good weed you are smoking.

Burrow with our OL and especially our defense would be something for sure.

People were down on him all offseason wanting to not pick up the option but I never gave up faith and knew he was going to have a really good year.

Wrong link.

I think we can only get the 2 seed if the Bears and GB both lose 2 more games, and we win out. I can see the bears definitely dropping 2, possibly all 3 of their remaining games. Not sure about GB dropping 2 though. Maybe they could just lose 1 and we'd have a 1/2 game lead due to their tie?

If we win out GB has to lose 1and Chicago lose 2 for us to be the #2 seed

Based on watching him play, would you be surprised if he survived?

If anyone would it would be him.

Also - didn’t need them to focus on Ertz sobbing as he’s going off the field from getting his knee blown out - kinda dickish. And F the dude who hit him too.

Pretty normal. High School physics is useless and most of the athletes probably haven't taken physics in college. But just standing on a train and jumping really should show them why that's a bad idea. Lol.

This from that same PC or a new one?

Some say he made his bed when he begged for those WRs

They need Oline and defense and I doubt they can trade those WRs to get picks to help out
