But had we just pissed away 1 fewer game it’d be a layup.
16 hours ago16 hr This is actually not good for the Eagles. It may be nice to see the Rams vulnerable and some 1 seed chaos, but LA is where you want to play the NFCCG. We dont want to go to Seattle. And we sure as heck don’t want the Rams coming to Philly wild card weekend.

They both had to play a physical 70 minute game and now must fully play out their schedules.I think the Seahawks could easily lose over the next two weeks then it's right back to LA. If not, and you have to go through Sam Darnold to get to the SB, I'm taking that 10/10 times.

Much rather avoid the Rams as long as possible and don’t mind playing them in LA in the Conf Champ if it were to come to that. In all honesty, let’s just win tomorrow and thereafter we can have all the debates about who and where, etc.
15 hours ago15 hr If the #2 seed were more in our control, I would care about that, but I still believe being as healthy as possible should be the #1 goal. If this team is healthy, and if the offense’s head isn’t in their asses, I believe this team can win anywhere. If they aren’t healthy, and the offense is what it was prior to last week, we can lose anywhere and seeding won’t matter. Win tomorrow and sit those who need rest or recovery time. We may lose to Buffalo but should win against Washington in the finale even short handed with McKee.

We need the Bears to lose twice and the Packers to lose once. They play each other right after our game on Saturday, so someone is getting a loss. The Bears then go to SF, then host the Lions. They could easily lose all three, if not 2/3.The Packers host the Ravens and then go to Minnesota in week 17. If the Eagles beat Buffalo I think we get the #2.
15 hours ago15 hr If the Eagles can get it together on offense just enough to be "good” then it doesn't matter who they play. Think they will win. If the offense goes back to sucking then they will lose early. That is my very unique hot take.
15 hours ago15 hr 7 hours ago, mattwill said:First you would resolve the 3-way tie in the NFCW and then compare that one NFCW team to the Bears. For the Niners to get to 13-4 they would have beaten the Seahawks head to head. The Rams and Seahawks split the head to head. The Niners and the Rams also split. That eliminates the Seahawks. So the Rams and Niners move to Division record and the Niners have only 1 Division loss and the Rams have 2, so the Niners win the NFCW.Now the Niners and Bears can’t both be 13-4 because they play each other on 12/28 and the loser of that game will have 5 losses. So if the Niners really are 13-4, then the best the Bears can be is 12-5.Totally forgot the bears play SF so they can’t all go 13-4. That said rather SF not get the 1 seed as if we are the 3 seed (most likely) i think rams or Seahawks as 6 seed is a tougher draw then someone like GB, bears or SF

Gave up a punt return TD that changed the entire game. Missed a game winning field goal from 47. Their second to last punt went 32 yards so Seattle could start at the 43 and tie up the game. Had a holding call that wiped up a big return in OT (not as costly). Defense looked shaky at the end but their special teams essentially cost them 10 points and field position

They just need a drafted receiver to be competent, I'm not pounding the table for them to do it but I wouldn't care if they did. This team could easily win a championship that way, as the money you save on AJ even with dead money you can get a FA TE, draft OL round 1 and WR round 2. He'll even Dotson would be a fine 2, he catches the ball the 4 times a year he's thrown toAJ helps open things up for Smitty, it's not going to be so simple to think Smitty will be some dominating unstoppable force that defenses can't defend without an AJ on the other side. I think it would be a colossal mistake. Now there are some very intriguing receivers coming out for the draft but our history there isn't the greatest and they are basically unknowns, who knows who turns out to be a bust. Plus you need to look at o-line this draft. It seems like AJ & Jalen have things patched up too, if it stays that way and AJ doesn't ask for a trade, I wouldn't mess around. Go get a dominating RG and hope Lane gives it another go. I still have PTSD from Thrash, Johnson, Brown, Pinky... The list goes on and on..

I argue that while both are benefitting from a supremely talented roster, its still a harder job for Siri to coach it, than for Jalen to play with and be lifted by it.Siri makes it all work together on and off the field. And he keeps the locker room together in spite of years of passing game struggles with elite WRs who want the ball. An offense who is let down by the defense in some years, and a defense who is let down by the offense this year. You never heard a single defender complain about the offense putting them in horrible positions and wearing them out. Even this year, if they manage to turn it around- wow.To win the super bowl last year after their collapse the year before. Team looked unfixable. He took that team to the super bowl.At times his decisions to go for a 4th down or kick a FG are questionable. Other times they look perfectly calculated. This year theres a lot to question with the offense.Overall, there is a heck of a lot of elite characteristics he brings to the HC position, and weaknesses have not prevented him from being pretty historically successful, going to super bowls, winning 1 so far. All with a pretty flawed QB.You can probably argue- the more talented the team, the harder it is to coach. With the talent, come the egos. AJ Brown has not torn it apart. Gardner-Johnson did not tear it apart. Bradberry left NYG over ego, and ended up taking on a player coach role by the end here. Jahan Dotson quietly accepted his role getting less than 1 target a game despite his talent and pedigree. Bigsby has not complained about getting relegated to KR duties, and even now still getting minimal touches on offense. Ringo and Sydney Brown keep accepting their role on the bench, and STs when they both thought more of themselves. Theyre getting Jordan Davis motivated. Theyre keeping Jalen Carter out of trouble. Players are bought in to Fangio's defense when Miami wouldnt get the personalities to jive.Siri hate that happens in here is literally insane. Even being lukewarm on him doesnt make much sense to me.Yes I know sometimes his game day decisions dont work out. But hes no James Franklin out there single handedly losing games for his team. We saw Dan Campbell lose that game against us with repeated failed 4th down calls, and passing on FG opportunities. Fans in here still love him. I bet a lot would have him over Siri. McVay and Shanahan lose games for their teams being too conservative in the same kind of moments fans complain about Siri being too aggressive. Siri has had more success doing the opposite of what fans want than the guys the fans would prefer over him.Talented teams dont always equate to success. We should know first hand from the Dream Team year under AR that was a disaster.

13 hours ago13 hr People really overthink and outsmart themselves.Rams are obviously the top competition in the NFC. Obviously avoiding them as long as possible is ideal. That means our chances of making it farther are increased by playing weaker opponents.Icing on the cake is that LA is an easy place to go play. Its almost like a home game. Plus, theres a chance the Rams get knocked off by some other team first. Then, we have a super easy path to the super bowl.

Which means you’d get rams and Seattle as 5 and 6 (what seed they are depends on how they’d finish… if sf wins out means Seattle lost at least 1 of their last 2 games).
