Yeah I would rather face Darnold but if our DL puts a lot of pressure both him and Stafford start making really questionable decisions and bad off target throws.

What I find funny about that play is, the official blew the whistle as soon as he ruled it an incomplete pass. If a Rams player would’ve saw charbonnet picking it up and just blasted him so he couldn’t get it and they could, they would’ve thrown a flag for a personal foul roughing penalty.

OK, hot take incoming...Sean McVay is an excellent play designer, but an objectively awful gameday coach. He and Shannahan both are terrible decision makers on gameday. Moreover, Stafford is a stat compiler that doesn't deliver when the pressure is on. My arguments from last night:

• Somehow the Rams lost a game where they had over 500 yards of total offense and won the turnover battle 3-0. That should be impossible, but they did it. And everyone wants to blame special teams (punt return TD, missed FG) and the defense. But the defense did force 3 turnovers, and set the offense up on the 1 yard line for an easy score, so they basically offset the punt return TD.

• Stafford and the offense get the ball back after Darnold throws a red zone INT. The game is 30-14 with 9:39 left in the 4th quarter, and the Rams go 3 and out, take only 1:36 off the clock and then give up the punt return TD.

• Get the ball back and it's 30-22, and the Rams...go 3 and out again and take less than a minute off the clock. They pass on ALL 3 DOWNS - complete a short pass on 1st down, then throw 2 incompletions. Seattle gets the ball back, scores in 2 plays, and convert the weirdest 2 point conversion ever to tie the game.

• Rams get the ball again, and wait for it, go 3 and out

So at money time, when you need to put away Seattle and win the division, you have 3 straight 3 and outs. If Jalen did that, Get Up would have started the morning calling for him to be benched and Nick/KP to be fired. But Stafford and McVay are the golden boys. Meanwhile, they blew a big lead against us and against Seattle. They lost to SF in overtime by getting stuffed on a 4th and 1 run by Williams (same thing happened in Q4 against us). And Stafford fumbled the game away against Carolina.

The Rams are overhyped.

I've said since the beginning those coaches are overrated.

Serves to show Siri is no more flawed then any of the other top coaches in the league.

Dan Campbell has also lost his team games with decision making too.

Siri is right at the top with them.

It was a backward pass. It's treated similar to fumbles but technically not a fumble.

There's a lot of weird sub rules and the situation itself is confusing. Basically if it was a fumble, it couldn't be advanced by anyone other than who fumbled it. Because it was a backward pass, it was a live ball but anyone could advance it, which is how they scored the 2 pts.

I think we get the 2 seed if GB or Chicago loses one of their last 3 games and we win out the last 3. GB has Chicago this weekend. Baltimore next week at home and then finishes against Minnesota. Chicago is at SF next week and finishes with the Lions. The Lions might not have anything to play if they do not beat the Steelers this weekend.

So Packers lose would be 11-5-1, bears only lose 1 more game, they’d be 12-5. Bears have a tiebreaker with us so they’d get the 2

Sort of like when they cheated TJ Watt out of the sack record because they said since the shotgun snap touched the turf on the way to the QB the passer was then deemed to be a runner, and it was ruled a running play -- and a TFL instead of a sack.

What all needs to happen for eagles to get the 1st seed? I've seen it's like 1% or less than 1 but I'm curious bout the scenario. None of the sites I've seen are covering it since it's so low

I've never considered Stafford to be a great QB.  He never got it done in DET and was traded onto a stacked roster in LA.  He's very good and very talented, no question -- but he also over-celebrated his "no look" TD pass last night and did not much good the rest of the way.

Tom Brady made similar comments I believe it was last year on a podcast. He talked about how it used to be that in college you had a system or program and the QBs had to learn it and develop, same in the NFL. Now with the transfer portal and skill sets changing and expectations, both college and NFL cater to the QB strengths rather than wait to develop and teach them a system.

I think it's why we don't see as much QB talent. In the early 2000s there were a lot of really good QBs. Now there are only a few really good ones and they aren't even as good as the crop were 20 years ago. Teams aren't patient anymore to allow coaches and GMs to build a roster and develop a QB.

From what I’ve gathered:

Eagles win out

Rams lose 1 of 2 remaining games

Seahawks lose last 2 games

49ers lose to colts and bears; beat Seahawks

Bears lose 2 of remaining 3

Packers lose 1 of remaining 3

Even then not sure if the niners or eagles would have 1 seed as they’d both be 12-5 and 9-3 in conference
