Been so windy last night into tonight. Hope it doesn't carry over into tomorrow's game.

Watching episode two of Hard Knocks. Them describing the Cowboys as "the hottest team in the NFL” and then immediately showing Dak being cocky about their chances is so funny, knowing that a few days later everyone was laughing at them again. 😂

What episode is this?

He predicted rams/cowboys NFCCG then that they would light up the vikings. He's very confident for someone that hasn't accomplished anything in 10 seasons.

I was behind an episode so it was episode 2.

Bucs aren't winning that division.

Well I went by the current standings.

Hurts has his issues but I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt and see him with the same coordinator for once instead of getting familiar with a new one every year for the past six years. That's unprecedented when you look at other QBs across the league.

We're back to this again? BTW, Steichen was his OC for two consecutive years. Patullo has been here every year Hurts has been with Sirianni. And he knew Brian Johnson for most of his life, and he was his QB coach for the two years Steichen was the OC, so he wasn't some fresh face with a whole set of fresh ideas either.

It can't be a fumble though because then only Darnold would be able to advance it since it was a 2pt try. It's what the Holy Roller rule prevents. But because it was a backwards pass, it's technically not a fumble and an exception of the Holy Roller rule which is why Charbonnet could pick it up in the endzone. I think that's why they aren't crediting it as a fumble to anyone because if they do, it all falls apart.

I thought that only applied in the last 2 minutes of a half. Does it also apply to a 2 point try?

I was curious about other QBs that had multiple OC changes and did a quick search.

  • Herbert has had 4 head coaches in 6 years, including an in-season change. With that he's had 4 different OCs (fun fact Steichen and Moore, both hired by the Eagles).

  • Alex Smith had 4 different head coaches in 8 years (he was out for the entire 2008 season with injury), including an in-season change. With that, 6 different OCs. His first 5 years there he had a new OC each year.

  • Asked ChatGPT for some others. These all had around 6-8 OC changes: Baker Mayfield, Wentz, Jay Cutler, Ryan Fitzpatrick

Can't stand him but dak has had multiple OCs and still performed at a high level but only in regular season.

@NOTW Baker's career has been nutty.

First, he went to Cleveland which is just a terrible place to be a QB.

Here are his NFL OCs:

Year 1: Haley/Kitchens

Year 2: Monken

Year 3: Van Pelt

Year 4: Van Pelt

Changes teams

Year 4 Part 1 (Carolina): McAdoo

Year 4 Part 2 (LA): Mike LaFleur

Tampa Time

Year 5: Canales

Year 6: Coen

Year 7 Grizzard

Not here, seems like every time we have a good OC they're gone immediately

Need a career OC like we have a career DC

McCarthy is five years younger than Fangio and my guess is he likely wouldn’t get another desirable head coaching opportunity at this point. He’s had a top 5 offense pretty much everywhere he’s been.

Brian Daboll and Mike McDaniel are also not getting head coaching jobs anytime soon.

From what I read it’s last 2 minutes, any 4th down and any XP/2pt try. But I can’t say for sure.

He has? How much of that was Rodgers for over a decade?

The rule book makes a clear distinction between a lateral and a fumble. The Holy Roller rule only applies to fumbles. This is why you can have those funky miracle plays at the end of games where one team just keeps lateraling the ball around hoping to spring loose and score. Even when the lateral hits the turf it can still be scooped up and advanced. They couldn't do that if it was a fumble.

McCarthy had very good success as an OC in New Orleans, which put him in line to be a head coaching candidate in Green Bay. That was 4-5 years with Aaron Brooks as his QB

Such a lame, tired argument.
