EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Featured Replies

I think both Denver and New England are prime candidates to go one-and-done in the playoffs, but it will be great to see the Ravens miss. They’re the AFC version of the Cowboys to me.

Open their biggest drive of the season with a swing pass lol

I hate plays starting that far behind the line if scrimmage.

Hopefully the winds are blowing the opposite of Jake Elliotts kicks. Maybe they will blow in.

Ravens certainly win this game is Jackson didn’t get hurt but they probably wouldn’t have made the playoffs anyway because they just aren’t very good. One of the most disappointing teams in recent memory. A lot of talent, just didn’t translate on the field.

New England has jets and Miami (not Tua starting) in week 17 and 18. I believe broncos and pats win out then tiebreaker comes down to common opponent record as both would be 9-3 in conference. I think Denver gets the 1 seed and bye as patriots are 0-1 vs. raiders and broncos are 2-0

Any news on nakobe Dean injury?

Feels like this team is prepared for this type of weather as we’ve seen a ton of bad weather games all year

I get weird feelings on things sometimes like we were going to blow KC out and Coop having a pick 6 or us losing to the Cowboys and Bears just before kickoff that Sunday.

Tonight I got a feeling if Seattle and the Bears are 1 and 2 they both lose or we beat the Bears and we host the NFCCG as the 3 seed. I don't know if we are going back, we may have to play one road game, but we will host.

If Seattle Gets the 1 seed, bears 2 with 3 being the eagles, 4 Carolina/TB, 5 rams, 6 SF and 7 packers then i think there’s a good chance rams face Seattle in the divisional round and we would go to Chicago. I’d take the rams in that game with Seattle with Adams healthy. I don’t wanna take anything away from Seattle because they won the game and they also made plays. But that wind felt very fluky to try and replicate it. They’ve also had 7 turnovers to the Rams one turnover in the two games they played. Feels like Seattle is living dangerous in those games but managing to be in it. Just have a feeling if they did it again with turnovers and then relying on punt returns for TD, fluke 2 point conversions it’s going to end differently.

Tbh i think the eagles getting SF in the WC then Chicago in the divisional round might be good for us. I think we matchup well with SF. I know that this isn’t the 2023 team, but I think a good portion of the team/sirianni remembers how demoralizing and humiliating it was losing to the niners in 2023 in the fashion they did. And began their downward spiral that year. Imo can see the guys reminding themselves of what happened with that team and what was said. The Bears game, I think this team would come into that game with chip on their shoulder like commanders playoff game last year. Cause I’m guessing a lot of analyst would pick the bears at home simply because they went into Philadelphia and just ran over us and embarrass us. Maybe we lose but i think we’d play a much better game and with something to prove

The ravens always find ways to try to lose games or make them closer than they need to be so not shocking if they lose this

You say it often. And it's true.

Patriots are frauds too. A lot of frauds this year. Way more than last year

I think they will be good... When Eagles legend Milton Williams gets back.

Seriously, their D is way better with him in the middle.

Get Lane back and use Fred as a TE for 40+ snaps.

Run them over.

Lots of Saquon and Tank combo looks with triple run options including Hurts keeping.

Win one block decisively and have the back find that hole.

LEAVE CALCATERRA IN PHILLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree with it all. It's shaping up nicely either way IF Seattle gets the 1.

This defense will curb stomp the bears if they face them again, and they'll definitely curb stomp the niners. Just a matter of if the offense ever decides to show up for a game that isn't against the raiders

ESPN.com's 2025 NFL Playoff Machine - Playoff Matchup Pre...

Use the NFL Playoff Machine from ESPN to predict the NFL Playoff matchups by generating the various matchup scenarios based on your selections.

So I just used the playoff generator in ESPN. The Eagles could play 49ers, Packers, Rams, Bear, Seahawks or Lions depending on how things fall in these last two weeks. The only team they won't be playing is Carolina or Tampa. 5 Teams are now clinched in the NFC with only the Eagles winning the Division. Seahawks, Rams, Bears and 9ers only clinched Wild Card spots because of their divisions are in a blender right now. Packers are locked into the 7th Seed right now with that tie. The bottom line, I'm not scared of anyone. This Defense will keep us in every game in this Playoffs.

Going to be interesting to see how the team decides to manage these last two games. I’m thinking they go full squad for a half this week and then start pulling guys. Two weeks off is just too much.

If anyone is within reasonable driving distance, the Iron Pigs ballpark Coca-Cola Park has a christmas light display called Illumination. Very well done. Exceeded my expectations for what a christmas display could be inside a baseball field. A bunch of activities to do there aside from seeing the lights. Good place to take the family.

They do a lot of awesome stuff there year round it seems. Might have to check it out if we have time.

I suspect the team would rather play Carter and Lane in Buffalo, then give rest, than have both sit for multiple weeks and go into the playoffs cold. You could put a snap count on both as needed, but then getting a week rest against the Commies is more sensical,

The ints is wrong. The 1.9 is a percentage per 100 attempts. He has played about 100 games total and has under 50 ints.
