I just dont understand how the offense looks good or at least competent for a half then completely looks the opposite in the 2nd half or vice versa. I get that defenses make adjustments at the half but 17 yards in the 2nd half is unacceptable.

Inexperienced OC that doesn’t make adjustments on the fly fast and having experienced HC/defensive coach that has been around the block.

Add on doesn’t go back to what works. For instance Saquon Barkley the first two runs of the second half had 15 yards. The next 9 plays the Eagles ran, he had two carries. It is very hard to establish the running game and get into a rhythm when you finally see it start to work and then you just get away from it for the next nine plays. Furthermore, why isn’t AJ Brown being used in multiple different ways when the offense stalls to get the ball in his hands. Buffalo was struggling and having to commit penalties (not called) to stop him

Average starting field position in the second half was 17.8 yard line.

I actually think they took some shots down the field. had the one to Smith that went through his hands. And you have the other with Smith hit the ground/the officials overturned it. Imo AJ Brown needs to be more involved when the offense stalls. He had 4 receptions and 58 yards on the final 3 drives of the 1st half where we scored 13 points. You cannot go an entire half and having one target to AJ Brown.

Furthermore, the first two plays of the second half, Saquon gives you 15 yards. The next 9 plays you give it to him twice. It is very hard for Saquon Barkley and the running game to get into any rhythm when we decide to just go away from it as soon as it starts getting itself going.

I agree … but… the conservative play calling was obnoxious… they mostly went back to condensed sets running into the teeth of the stacked D out of shotgun. I liked seeing 36 on the edge with Hurts under center on their successful drive in the first half.

Just like after the KC game. Dude...you just escaped cause he couldn't hit an open guy. I'm so sick of him. Fire him

I blame the stupid black pants. Burn them!!!

He hasn't learned. Passion and aggressiveness is one thing, but he acts like a clown.

No injuries and getting healthier still with one of the greatest players to play the position coming back (we hope).

One home playoff game so far and still alive for 2.

No juggernauts in the league this season.

Tons of playoff experience.

Lights out D.

Good to great punter.

Decent coverage units.

Decent kicker. Not yet good on FGs BUT does rise in the playoffs. I would say good to very good on KOs?

Hurts is a gamer in the playoffs.

They have done better in the last three games on O. More spread. More under center. More play action. More crossers. A bit less stupid ish...

Not one single statement above can be disputed reasonably.

Be honest. Stop with the posturing and agendas. Be honest.

No, I've explained it like 3 times now. You said: "If not for a stupid fumble and short field, this offense has scored 6 points." Well the offense didn't just score 6 points, they scored 13. That logic can go both ways if you want to play the "what if" game.

Then you used several straw man arguments suggesting I praised the offense, called it "vaunted" and moved the goal posts to suggest I said the offense doesn't have issues and is playing great.

There is nothing wrong about what I said. I was talking about outside of a lucky instance, which it was, they did nothing. The entire world just watched it.

Obviously it did happen and obviously they scored 13. No one has denied that.

Pretty hard to get 2-3 yards when the oline blocks no one

This is also an issue. Run blocking after the 1st two runs of the second half looked like crap. Then again i feel like patullo just went away from it and then asked them when it matter to just step up. I still do not get when Barkley ran the first two players of the second half and got 15 yards. Just keep feeding them until buffalo shows you they can stop him. It felt like we took ourselves out of it.

Remember that the Hurts hate is a demented religion. You can't dispute it with facts or reality, accomplishments or statistics.

The ignore settings are the only way out.

I took about 5 of them off ignore for the game and all 5 are spouting their weird doctrine after the game.

The high priest really loves his confused emojis.

The problem is simple. Execution.

I mean forget playcalling, when you are trying to run out the clock, you should be able to get 5 or 6 yards running the ball twice. Setting up makeable 3rd downs.

They literally can't run block to save their lives.

Prediction: last two drafts were defense, this spring it's going to be offense, multiple OL and TE and a blocking TE/FB in later rounds. And maybe a FA or two.

Next year they'll have the depth to shut down Dickerson and Jurgens until they're healthy and a better backup OT than Fred.

Because it's really hard to put together an OL that is this bad at run blocking.

Yes, better play design and play calling (study the Bears) would help the run game, but in the end it comes down to mano mano, beat the M--F--- in front of you!

I agree with you. Another problem with going under center is what sheil pointed out in their podcast. when they’re under center they run it 82% of the time. Which is a problem cause you are very predictable and teams just are going to sell out on the run and play the percentages and analytics. They need to start building off of that and start throwing more. Because they’re actually good when they pass it under center because our guys doing their job and some of it is i don’t think defenses are expecting us to be passing due to the 82-18 ratio

For an "offensive" HC...

who started to work with the offensive side more...

for the offense to not complete a SINGLE pass in the 2nd half...

to have only ONE first down in the entire second half...

maybe he should shut up and be a little more introspective.

This is 2023 on the offensive side of the ball... the difference is the defense is coached by a true professional. But the offense shouldn't be celebrating today, they should be working to figure out why they suck.

I thought there were a couple injuries?

If only he were that aggressive with the play calling, rather than the turtling... maybe they would have completed a pass in the second half.. or gotten TWO first downs in the second half. nonono

Minor dings. They all reentered the game.

This didn’t exactly work out great in 2023 when he said that after the chiefs game

Game winning play.

Felt the same at the time, you see the ball hit the ground more clearly than Smith's catch. Of course they wouldn't have overturned it though because we know why. But it should've been challenged.

Who?

Lane coming back. Dean coming back. Philips came back. Dejean caught a shot in the nuts I thought.

If the time of possession is relatively even, we always have a chance with this defense as long as the offense keeps the turnovers to a minimum.
