So is everyone complaining about today’s victory?

As with the rest of the season, people are complaining about the offense looking like total dog ish in a 99% defensive victory

Nope. Some of us are only complaining about the offense. The defense was brilliant.... AGAIN! Meanwhile, the offense, specifically the second half offense, was Jets level bad.

I’m really not sure why people are upset on the fact that people are complaining about the offense. We’re in week 17 and they have the same issues we’ve seen all season. How many games has it been 3-4 possessions of good then 8-9 of ineptitude to jets proportions? Are we going to face the raiders, giants and commanders defenses in the playoffs?

eagles just played a half of football where offense had 17 total yards in the 2nd half, 1 first down and 0 completions and ran the defense into the ground as they played their asses off. So we all should be happy they basically forced the defense to play 73 plays due to their ineptitude/conservativeness in the second half? Like we don’t remember what happened when the Eagles D played a ton of plays against Dallas (prior with GB and lions) the offense was inept after their first three drives. And then the following week we faced Chicago who gashed us because the defense had been on the field all day in previous games. You might win a wildcard game doing what they just did but like you saw against Chicago it eventually takes a toll

I also don’t wanna hear the weather. January weather isn’t going to be much better unless we face a dome team on the road

The first one, they were pinned on the 1. I didnt love the tush push from the 1 and then another run. But I understood trying to get a little breathing room. You hope the offense can complete a 3rd down pass. Little did we know they wouldnt complete a pass for the entire half.

The final drive, a run for no gain, and then a run for a loss setting up a 3rd and 12, yeah that was bad.

That leaves 2 other drives out of the 5 where Barkley could have done more on his runs, and Hurts could have done something other than roll right, backwards, and throw it out of bounds. I dont not blame play calling in the 2nd half as much as I blame QB play, and Barkley's performance.

If you stop the run and don't turn the ball over, the Bears are done.

They need a Bears loss so not much

Tie is just as good for us as a Bears loss would be.

Can't imagine how these teams with backup lineman and tight ends can consistently run the ball and we cannot with outle starters.

I worry about the Commies playing dirty and trying to cause injuries

In fairness the first drive it worked. Had 15 yards from Barkley. Next possession they threw it all 3 times. The following had to run a tush pus to get out of their own goal post then Barkley. I said this before, when they came out of the second half with a five and then 10 yard run (with having a 9, 16, 4, 5 yard runs to end the first half) they should’ve just kept going to it until Buffalo stopped it. After the back to back runs for 15 yards, the eagles ran the ball 1 time on their next 5 plays.

The Bears are getting exposed and Caleb Williams is in over his head... the only way the Bears can stay close is with turnovers and Williams running. We will see if Johnson can pull out some magic! I DO NOT want to play the Niners early in the playoffs...they are a bad matchup for the Eagles.

Other teams have QBs who dictate that you can not sell out to stop the run as much as teams do to us.

  1. Sirianni is on record about how important the #2 seed is

EJ Smith on PHLY just had the opposite take. He said listening to Sirianni talk about the state of the offense makes me think the starters aren’t playing next week.

Basically Sirianni implied this game was their last shot to get it right.

Johnson isn't a starter and Jurgens isn't playing like one.

Great coaches getting the most out of what they have

They aren’t really practicing. At this point it’s two walkthroughs and one practice so important they deemed it’s not necessary for Dickerson to participate for the last month despite him playing every week.

They had the bye week and a lot of extended mini byes that proved not playing doesn’t change anything.

Not saying you but people act like a week off is going to solve every ailment they have been playing through for over 3 months is going to fix anything. It’s not. There’s no change in Week 18 that will matter.

I think what people fail to realize is what I said earlier in the season, these players are not robots. Some of these guys who are injured are going to need 2-3 months or an entire off-season to get themselves back right. I don’t think giving Dickerson two extra weeks off is fixing everything. He might be better for a couple plays into a WC game but as soon as he begins to play and hit guys, he’s likely feeling it again. Jurgens missed an entire offseason rehabbing a back issue. Lane is dealing with a lis Franc he needs surgery on. Time off will help but eventually when he plays it’s going to likely get worse each week.

Guys who are nicked up it will help. IMO jurgens, Dickerson and lane are likely dealing with bigger injuries that require more than 2 weeks to fix.

I want to hate Caleb Williams... But I don't

Need the bears to lose week 18 and us win. We’d be 12-5 and they’d be 11-5-1. For niners i believe if they tie then seattle wins the division if they beat niners next week. If Seattle loses and rams win out then rams get no. 1 seed.

Sometimes a great D can take a team to a title. It looks like we may have just such a D. We've witnessed 16 games now over 17 weeks and we know who this team is and who they are not. It is too late to change anything of significance. We are who we are.

Time to ride this formula as far as it can take us. Run the ball and don't turn it over. Turn the game into a total grind and let the Georgia boyz eat. It is enough to get another ring and the O will have a couple of good halves along the way to help ease the burden on the D.

New "Dynamic" kickoff... kick it out of bounds! flex. So exciting!

Then might as well sit them to avoid injury
