If we can consistently score 24pts, I like our chances.

Not against Rams.

When the 2 seed meant you got a bye it was very important. Now giving yourself a bye week 17 is way more important than playing on the road IMO.

I’m serious. Hurts rarely fails in clutch moments. Who is better?

Williams, Stafford come to mind right now.

It's not just that. They could have run for 200 yards today. You know, like they always said they like to do. Instead they tried to make it the Tanner showcase with the #2 seed right there. The Lions were up immediately and all game.

And the coaching everywhere except Fangio is hot trash. What are the backup DBs doing all season??? Can they defend a single GD pass?

You have Ringo leaving Johnson alone to walk in for the winning score but McKee can't fall over for a wide open first down.

Parker seems to be an awesome DB coach. Bennett and Ringo just don’t have it.

And Patullo sucks too. The only thing that can save him is incorporating the QB run game that I assume they’ve held back to keep Hurts healthy.

A 2 seed would mean a home game in the divisional round, and could mean one in the conference championship game (if, e.g., an NFC wild card team like the 49ers beats the NFC West champ 1 seed in the divisional round). So if your goal is to repeat as Super Bowl champions, the 2 seed is well worth playing for. You need to be smart about it obviously and not unnecessarily risk injuries, but you don’t want to lose in week 18 against the Commies because you rested everyone only to realize you would have gotten the 2 seed instead of the 3 if you had won.

I'll stick by that. The 49ers are going to blow them out next week ... whereas if they had played the starters, they would have likely made at least the NFC championship game.

Anyone think the game would have been different if McKee played with AJ, Goedert, Devonta (entire game), Barkley and the starting defense?

I'm not debating whether McKee is better than Hurts because that's not debatable at this point. But we're dismissing him and comparing to Hurts when the circumstances weren't the same.

If they just played the 1st team defense today, we win with 17 most likely even with McKee playing with backups on offense.

Tbh they probably could’ve won this game just playing the starters for a half of the offense gives you the 3 good series to start the game.

They better effin win next week!

They aren’t going any place with Nick and KP. Two f'ing clowns. Coaches shouldn't lose you games and the 2 seed

We have a guaranteed home game next week.

After that, it's entirely possible that the Rams beat the Panthers and they wind up coming to Philly.

Only thing that sucks is that we're most likely on the road for the NFCCG.

Would've been nice to get the W but we're lined up for two home games and then hope the Seahawks aren't actually as good as their record says they are.

I predict Rams knock off seattle and we are back home for the nfccg

Green Bay is so banged up. They aren't beating anybody.

The bears barely beat a banged up GB even without love and its its a divisional game like the one they lost to the lions today.

Unfortunately the eagles offense will be their downfall. I wonder if Sirianni sticks with Patullo if FO wants KP gone.

Our defense is better now than earlier in the season.

He tanked his value because he had very little tape and it was sensational. Now he has more bad tape than good tape. He could still be good but the aura is gone and it’s much less likely they can dupe a team out of a high pick now.

Rest assured, the only aura he ever had was in the minds of Philly fans. Furthermore, if he even had an aura league-wide why would the Eagles have to dupe a team out of a high draft pick? If was as valued as you think he was prior to this game, no duping necessary.

All fing year in here we saw "start McKee” now we are moving goal posts 🤣

Disastrous? Who cares? The roster is rested and healthy.

If they lose at home in round 1, it’s irrelevant. If GB beats CHI, it’s irrelevant. And if they go 0-2 against that crap Bears team in Chicago, then shame on them.

The roster isn’t magically healthy because we sat our starters. C’mon….

If you want to **** about not getting the 2 seed, I suggest complaining about tanking games against the Giants and Cowboys rather than resting starters in week 18.

Even losing those games. 2 seed was within reach today. And this jackass of a HC pissed it away

There were alot of people on here wanting to rest starters.

Now because Chicago lost people are back tracking and saying it was a stupid decision.

The 2 seed provides no advantage in the NFCCG since the 2 and 3 can never play each other in that game.

I mean technically they both were here last year when they won the SB. But yes Patullo stinks as OC

I kind of doubt it. If he does he’s likely getting fired with Patullo cause i can’t imagine if the offense is awful in the playoffs that lurie is giving Patullo a second year as OC. As for sirianni doubtful he gets a better HC opportunity with a loaded roster like the eagles if he goes down with the Patullo ship. Whatever job he gets next he’s not having a stacked roster like Howie gave him since 2022 and probably will continue to do.

49ers are a huge pain in the ass. Fangio has played them well, but still… Hate getting them round 1 when we can’t reliably score.

The Rams are no longer world beaters. They peaked last month

Yeah it 100% is an organizational decision with Nick. Don’t believe for a second it was Nick’s decision alone. That said in hindsight probably should’ve played the starters for a half and seen where the bears/lions game was then made a decision.

Disagree. The moment the decision was made to sit the starters, the offensive staff should have done their jobs to prepare McKee and company for an opponent that is at best on par with your backups. No long sustained drives, how many times did Russ T mention that receivers aren’t close to getting open, once again no play design. Call it what you want, this team desperately needs a coordinator change. Sure we shot ourselves, especially the Cooper taunting but we relied on big plays to move the chains, this offensive approach is so arrogant and delusional
