FWIW, I think the Packers are a better team than the Niners. Their defense is comparable(#2 in EPA per play vs #3) but their defense is much better. And they have more WR targets. The question is what Jordan Love are you getting? So I don't mind getting the Niners over them in round 1, the Niners defense is terrible and if the Eagles offense can't score on that defense then there's no excuses for Lurie for this coaching staff.

The difference is obviously the next round. Either going to Chicago, or playing the Rams at home(assuming they beat the Panthers).

Green Bay’s defense has really fallen off of late. No Micah hurts badly.

I don’t know about all that. A good game today with that supporting cast really would have meant something.

Not really because the narrative (for some) would have been McKee had a good game against a bad team in a meaningless week 18 game.

I think if he had the starters with him, especially the defense, they win this game.

If he is ever going to get serious credibility, he'll have to play good in a meaningfull game against a good team. Then have to do it again and again and again.

Do they alternate based on rounds when there's a tiebreaker? Jets are #2 in the draft order.

Yes, teams with identical records rotate after the first round. The Jets go 2-1-4-3.

Technically yes it would mean something as a contribution to a bigger picture but one game is just one game

One game is enough to tank his trade value.

Jax vs Bills off the rip, ouch

I mean technically they both were here last year when they won the SB. But yes Patullo stinks as OC

KM carried them

Christ we better beat the 49ers just so I don’t have to hear "the 2 seed” crap all off-season. Pls God grant me this.

Even still. Wouldn't you want 2 home playoff games? Doesn't make any sense. I wonder if Nick is scared of his own shadow?

Ringo is a very good special teams player, but he should never see the field again as a CB. He's unplayable.

The issue is there’s only so many guys you can keep that are just special teams guys. If Ringo hasn’t shown any improvement and is regressing at corner when asked to come into a game, then I can’t keep him. I can find a younger corner in the draft that can play special teams at a good level and give me more potential with development at corner. The time has passed for ringo. He should’ve beaten out at adoree Jackson in training camp. Jackson was not supposed to be the starter this year. It happened because ringo was so bad that they had to trade for Bennett (anlso raiders gave up on him so he must have been bad in camps for them too considering how bad the are) and they made adoree the starter.

This team blows big donkey balls.

In their arrogance, they think they don't even need to show up.

They are worthless and week.

Rappaport released the schedule on X at 8:40 last year.

For sure but when they announced no starters I figured we would for sure lose

People don’t wanna hear this but do you really think they would show anything different offensively with our backups? I get everyone is mad we didn’t play the starters but if the bears won, we played our starters, and had a major injury to a starter what would everyone be saying?

Patullo might not be any good at this.

No idea.

When are they announcing the day/times of the games next week?

Im like the only person who still doesnt mind us resting guys lol

Well after the bye and rest against the packers they scored 10 points. Lol. Rest or not we are not going anywhere this season. D has a bad day against Purdy and CMC and we are done

Fans have been "afraid" of teams all year. Afraid of the Rams (we've beat them 4 times in a row), afraid of the Bucs on the road, we beat them. Afraid of the Packers and Lions, beat both. Name any NFC Playoff team and there's a group of fans scared to play them.

I've said it all year, the NFL is wide open, there are no elite teams. And the only team that can truly beat the Eagles is themselves. If the coaches and entire offense get their heads out of their arses, they can beat anyone because the defense is playing SB level.

I’d be saying the same thing that I did before the game: The no. 2 seed is too valuable not to try to win, at least for long enough to see how the Chicago game going.

Because they are playing really well the past 7 weeks, losing only to the #1 seed in the NFC. And if you watched them over that period, you would see that they pass the eye test big time.

Nah

Bad oline bad defense. Stop cmc and let the pass rush feast

I am actually surprised that the Bears lost. That said, I am not afraid of going there in the division round after we somehow or other beat the amazing Niners.

Bad GM.

Bad Head Coach.

Quitters.

Hate them.

Fire them.

Sure, no injuries was a goal this weekend. But based on what the players said, just resting for a week seems to be really important for them.

Yup…resting was the absolute right decision. The Niners were completely unable to function against a 4 man front and nickel and dime packages…pretty much a Fangio MO. Purdy was clearly rattled most of the game. A fresh Carter and limited snaps by the DL tonight is a huge advantage going in. Lane will be back opening up some options…I like the Eagles chances…

Yeah, this doesn’t magically go away with a win. And even if we win and then Chicago loses, I don’t think they get vindicated. It was still bad process. They just got bailed out of a bad call.

That is true, but in general I think they are a better team than the Niners. Maybe I'll be eating crow in a week(though I doubt it, because if the offense doesn't show up, I tend to think they would lose to any of the playoff possibilities) but the Packers had a tough schedule, the Niners had a cupcake schedule. It's the next round that is more of a concern as a 3 seed.
