No the D was fine…extending a few drives by riding the hot hand in Tank would have changed a lot. It 100% comes down to playcalling. It’s like Nick forgot he’s most successful when he’s grinding it out with a lead running the ball.

Well...to stick with the pattern this year. The Eagles offense must win the first part of the game when they are in the scripted plays..after that it becomes Patullo time and the "no man's land of playcalling". The Eagles D sometimetimes gets a slow start as Vic starts making his adjustments. The Eagles need to start pretty flawlessly and can not make dumb drive killing penalties or stupid turnovers. Playing catchup against any team is a real problem...

Tbh I don’t think Morris is a very good coach. Hes had 1 winning season in 6 years as HC. Their 2025 season is very similar to the eagles fools gold at the end of the 2011 season. Where they won 4 at the end and everyone thought following year they’d take off from there with Reid. Instead it came crashing down.

Imo they need a Qb. If they think it’d penix still then have to get an offensive coach in there to maximize him. If it’s another Qb they draft then still do.

Imo the best coaching job in that entire division might have been Moore considering th lack of talent they had, injuries thy endured and how shough is coming along

And…with game on the line multiple passes downfield to receivers completely out of bounds…that was not the yips. QB are hard wired to focus on making sure receivers have a chance for the ball. Again..a high throw, a throw behind the receiver, a late throw are physical mistakes. What I witnessed on several occasions reflect really badly on his mental preparation.

Red flag? Yes. Inexcusable? No. It was his second start. You learn with reps. He's had very few reps.

I'm not sure we watched the same game bro. Defense sucked especially the backs. I do agree with more running though

Starters on defense would have got all of those almost picks and sacks the backups failed at. We'd probably get a few pick 6

Today's game was just a fart in the wind. Pretty meaningless. As was last game VS Bills. What was most important was coming out of it healthy with the key guys that we can ill afford to lose or it would have been game over as far as winning a Superbowl. As stated over and over this year, this is not last year's edition that Howie built which was was more bullet proof and could handle injuries in several positions and probably still win. So the key here all along was to make sure this team wouldn't be worn out and or injured like this year's 49ers or last year's Lions. I'm satisfied with where we are and fear no one in the NFC if we have our full roster. Road or home. Anticipate the offense to be very different with how they handle Hurts and how they call it. Sirianni been playing 4D Chess and has been toying with everyone and it will be guns a blazing next week. Expect a pretty dominant showing through and through with a hungry and pretty rested cast. And we get our HOF right tackle back. Huge boost for the offense and team.

Yeah it's weird how Hurts and McKee both look tentative and indecisive. McKees start today was like a microcosm of Hurts' season. The coaching deficit eventually becomes too much

Gross over simplification…Vic’s philosophy is that giving up a FG is tolerable till he’s done tinkering. The real issue with the D is how many snaps they’ve been asked to be on the field for this year because the O has been largely inept. Whether that’s playcalling or regression. It’s sad that IIRC the Eagles have $30M more than any other team dedicated to the O and are as bad as they are.

Ringo may have played the worst game I’ve ever seen from an Eagles DB today outside of Michael Jacquet in 2020 against Dallas.

At least we’d have more of a rotation with Barkley and tank. He excelled at algeier getting carries so Bijan didn’t get overused. Algeier got close to 9 carries a game. Bijan had around 17

I was high on him before he got to Atlanta. Hard to know what he is as cousins has looked awful since returning from his Achilles and penix was a rookie then got hurt
