The D was doing enough to win the game till the 3 and out train started. Ya the PI’s were a back breaker though. That’s really the only bad part of the D’s performance. They really didn’t give up much chunk plays or get absolutely man handled. For a bunch of scrubs…they were fine.

Ya…but if rational thinking was applied to play calling and drives were extended RUNNING THE DAMN BALL, the D wouldn’t have been on the field so much. They largely limited the Commanders. Dumb PI’s and Ringo with the lowest IQ football play ever were the back breakers. Special shout out to Brown for not injuring any team mates on the 4 opportunities i saw that on any other day he would have sent them to the hospital.

this is the reason why i wouldn’t have played Jordan Davis if we were resting guys. He’s played 652 defensive snaps going into week 18. That’s 264 more than last year. And 133 more than his highest total in any season prior. If guys deserved rest he was right at the top and they ran him out there late into the 4th.

If we are committed to resting guys that are vital for our playoff run, he should’ve been up there. I get playing Campbell because he’s had weeks he didn’t play much. However, I would run other backup guys into the ground to make sure that davis gotten an entire week off before the playoffs started.

I think a guy that makes sense is Greg Newsome. He’s 26 and a FA. Played alright for jags this year. Were rumors eagles were interested in potentially deal for him. I don’t think he breaks the bank and in this defense maybe he’s maximized.

Madden 99 has more complex passing schemes than Patullo.

I hear you but honestly there are guys all over in the league that are in suboptimal situations. Look at Zach Baun with the Saints. There are guys that never make it because they were miscast or burried that we'll never know about. Devonta not getting maximum use is unfortunate for us but not exactly uncommon

Let's flip the script. Teams are scared to play us (at least the defense)

This is the reason I partly believe they are holding back. Like some of the offensive play calling is atrocious. Like they can’t be this dumb can they? Hopefully they will just stick to what works in the playoffs.
