January 5Jan 5 The gap between Mitchell and Adoree Jackson is smaller than the gap between Adoree and Ringo/Bennett. Like Brian Scalabrine hitting up his local YMCA court
January 5Jan 5 Haven't been on the boards during or after the game and don't feel like scrolling thru a thousand posts so I am sure this has been repeated.First half cost them the game. Third and 1 near the goal and idiot Patullo calls for two passes. Incomplete and no points.Would have been first and goal at the five but immature Cooper gets an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. First and 10 from the 20 results in an int. No points. Those lost 14 points cost them the game and #2 seeding.#1 priority in the draft is CB. Ringo and Bennett are unplayable. Jackson will be a year older, a FA and is just competent. Nobody else.Am I the only one who thinks, as of this moment, that Bigsby is just as good as Barkley? I don't believe Bigsby played in the 4th qtr. He needs his rest so he can be in for seven plays and two carries against the Niners.Shipley is just not an NFL RB.

January 5Jan 5 Another thing to monitor is Epps in the concussion protcol. If he can't go Sunday then it is Sydney Brown. Oh boy.

It happens only very rarely.I won't address the 'exceptional OC' bit because sorry, I haven't seen him actually run the offense himself enough with a normal style QB to make that judgment. With a normal style QB? A good coach gets the most out of the talent he has. Look at the other side of the ball. Vic just made a backup defense look pretty good yesterday. Steichen did wonders with hurts. I’d take it a step further and say Siri hasn’t developed hurts at all. This is Siri’s offense. It has been for a while. And it stinks. He’s wasted a collection of talent that no team can match in the league. Who’s his prototype Qb? Philip Rivers? Who built a HOF career before he even met Siri? Siri is a clown. We should’ve hired Steichen or Moore and then we wouldn’t have to worry about finding another OC every year.
January 5Jan 5 Not much to take away from the game yesterday other than Bigsby is really good and Bennett/Ringo suck. Too bad we lost but I'd much rather rest key players and end up in Chicago then play them and get a 2nd home game should we win the 1st one. Normally I'd have the opposite opinion but this team sorely needs the rest on both lines.btw - There is no real way to grade McKee. The line he played behind did not offer much protection. I think in the end of the day it is good he was under some fire. He needed that experience.

The backups would have one if the coaches weren't incompetent. Biggest issue all year that manifested again and cost them the 2 seed

That and a critical missed opportunity for McKee to run for an easy first down, but missed on a low percentage, tight throw to Covey (I think).

January 5Jan 5 I'm glad I saved $20 and didn't watch that. Not gonna retread old ground, but I do think resting the C, LG and LT who have all been injured, with the RG getting some rest is a far greater win than we'd all think. I don't like losing games, but there has to be a point where the health and risk of injury is greater than a seeding. Just look at the Calcaterra tackle; how screwed would the O be if that was done to Goedert? BiglyThe biggest criticism should be at the needless funk the team that got themselves into in November, rather than losing with a bunch of backups against the Commies. The damage was done, but having seen some teams play, I do feel there is some over exaggeration about the Eagles being bad.I don't object to letting the Ringo pick play out this year; it helps clarify needs this offseason. The team can move on and feel no regrets.
